Report: United States Ranks Last in Media Trust

For years, we have been discussing the decline of journalism values with the rise of open bias in the media. Now, a newly released report from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford has found something that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. The United States ranked dead last in media trust among 49 countries with just 29% saying that they trusted the media. The most tragic aspect is that it does not matter. The media has embraced the advocacy journalism and anyone questioning that trend risks instant cancellation.  The result is a type of state media where journalists are bound to the government by ideology rather than law.

The Occupation of the American Mind: Israel’s Public Relations War in the United States

Occupation of the American Mind

“It doesn’t matter of justice is on your side. You have to depict your position as just.” -Benjamin Netanyahu

Despite receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from those who have actually seen it, The Occupation of the American Mind has been repeatedly attacked and misrepresented by right-wing pressure groups and outright ignored by virtually all mainstream media outlets and North American film festivals.

To bypass this campaign of misrepresentation and suppression, we’ve decided to make the film available for FREE online so that people can make up their own minds about its analysis of U.S. media coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

If you’d like to help support the effort to provide free distribution of The Occupation of the American Mind, please consider a donation. https://www.mediaed.org/donate/

Russian President Putin Threatens to Defend Country Against US/NATO Provocations

In the equivalent of the US State of the Union address for Russia, the country’s president Vladimir Putin delivered his annual address to Russian legislators and top government and church officials on April 21.

The notable event focused mainly on domestic affairs, yet also included Putin drawing a clear ‘red line’ against NATO and the Biden administration’s intensifying military provocations in the Black Sea focusing on Crimea and Ukraine. The address was virtually blacked out by European and US news media.

Here is the entire speech, with English translation:

Washington Post Admits to Publishing Fake News

The purported “bombshell” January 9 story that President Trump pressured Georgia election officials to “find the fraud” turns out to be a hoax promoted by the Jeff Bezos/Amazon-owned Washington Post, which has in turn scrubbed the internet of original versions of the publication.

Readers may recall how major corporate news media fell in lockstep, parroting the Post’s erroneous report, making it an international sensation that turned out to be a big lie.

The Hill reports:

The Washington Post has added a lengthy correction to a bombshell report from early January that had said then-President Trump told Georgia’s top elections investigator during a phone call to “find the fraud” and that they would be “a national hero” if they did so.

“Two months after publication of this story, the Georgia secretary of state released an audio recording of President Donald Trump’s December phone call with the state’s top elections investigator. The recording revealed that The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source,” the Post said Thursday in a 129-word correction published atop the story.
