Editor’s Note: Much of Marcuse and the Frankfurt School’s oeuvre is based on Sigmund Freud work, the famous Viennese “founder of psychiatry,” who orchestrated what was effectively a cult around his teachings, many of which served to justify his own sexual perversions.
