Herbert Marcuse’s “Repressive Tolerance” (1965)

A 12-point summary of the 1965 essay, “Repressive Tolerance” by philosopher and sociologist Herbert Marcuse, teacher and mentor of Angela Davis (a founder of modern “antiracism” movement).

Editor’s Note: Much of Marcuse and the Frankfurt School’s oeuvre is based on Sigmund Freud work, the famous Viennese “founder of psychiatry,” who orchestrated what was effectively a cult around his teachings, many of which served to justify his own sexual perversions.
