I love Taibi’s reporting, but didn’t he turn against the truth a little bit after his brush with Omidyar? I forget what issue it was, but i distinctly saw him desperately trying to walk some line.
Great tip on Penn. First I’m hearing of it.
Also recommended in this issue of Mike Palacek’s Penn magazine is “The Tender Tyranny of Liberalism Redux,” by our own James Tracy. Tracy describes “liberalism’s enduring quest for ideological conformity” against improper thought, and its essential role in covering for the kind of state crimes that we discuss here. He states:
“That such elaborate crimes persist and go unpunished attests to the enduringly profound and magnificent fraud of American liberalism and its continued short-circuiting of the American political imagination.”
I have to say: how gratifying is it to see good old MHB up and running again! The most encouraging circumstance, given the times. May it provide inspiration, good company and comfort to Dr. Tracy in the new para-academe.
