Editor’s Note: In August 2015 MHB published, “The CIA and the Media: 50 Historical Facts The World Needs to Know.” The present series seeks to augment this initial article with several dozen additional facts and observations on the relationship between the US intelligence community, the mass media, and public opinion.

The Central Intelligence Agency often acts to serve the strategic financial interests of transnational corporations as spycraft and corporate largess act symbiotically to conceal each other’s misdeeds. In 1979 the McGraw-Hill publishing house released Kermit Roosevelt’s, Countercoup: The Struggle for the Control of Iran. In the book former CIA officer told his exclusive story of “how intelligence agencies overthrew a left-leaning Iranian premier, Mohammad Mossadegh, in 1953 and reinstated the Shah,” former Washington Post editor and college journalism educator Ben Bagdikian explains.

“The issue was control of oil. The plot was called ‘Ajax,’ of which Roosevelt wrote: ‘The original proposal for Ajax came from the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC) after its expulsion from Iran nine months earlier.’” Copies of Countercoup “were on sale in bookstores and reviewer copies were already in the mails when British Petroleum, successor corporation to AIOC, persuaded McGraw-Hill to recall all the books—from the stores and from reviewers.”

  1. Our corrupt, secret, criminal CIA was also deeply involved in overthrowing many of the governments in South America which led to the exodus of immigrants to America today.
Why do so many immigrants from South America want to come here and endure many hardships along the way? Answer because our own largely criminal government aided by gangsters in our military, many trained at the former School of the Americas at Ft. Benning , Georgia, were ordered to overthrow many of the legitimate governments there and create chaos and install dictators who favored the criminals running our government. These are the issues the late Captain Chaplain Angelo Liteky, medal of honor winner, credited with saving the lives of about 23 wounded servicemen while wounded himself in Viet Nam, why he returned his medal to our corrupt government and demonstrated against their crimes and even spent about 2 years in a federal prison for seeking to expose government crimes. Our government today consists of gangsters and criminals gang raping every principle of our Constitution with impunity. Criminals in Israel have hi jacked our government and bribed all of Congress. Trump is an Israel lover draft dodger who likely never read or understood the Inscription on the Statue of Liberty in New York:
“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door! The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc.”

  2. Can anyone remember the last time America won a legitimate war? We fought an illegal war in Iraq all based on lies and killed millions according to reports. We have lost in Afghanistan but stole drugs and natural resources from them. The drugs are sold on the black market by the secret criminal CIA. Innocent children and civilians have been slaughtered. Both the cancer war and drug war have been lost. Even the attack in New York by Israel, but blamed on Muslims, on 9/11 was lost. Few people are alive today who lived through prohibition. This was the period between about 1919 and 1933 when intoxicating liquors were outlawed in the Constitution. This led to anarchy in the streets, black markets and mayhem everywhere. They quickly ratified legalization of intoxicating liquors again in 1933. Why has not our government legalized and regulated drugs as well? Illegal drugs lead to sharing of needles which in turn add to an already overloaded medical system. They also lead to people taking dirty contaminated drugs and improper doses, both also adding to an overloaded medical system. Drugs and illicit sexual conduct also lead to more medical problems and over use of antibiotics which has reached very dangerous levels. These problems are in addition to corruption of many police departments. Legalization would end most of these problems and also end the illegal drugs entering from the border because prices would instantly drop. So, why has not our government legalized drugs and regulated them like they did with alcohol in 1933 to end the mayhem in the streets then? Answer because our government is in the illegal drug selling business world wide by the corrupt secret CIA to bring in some easy cash to conduct more secret criminal activities world wide. Our own government is now a criminal drug dealer but never reported by the lying media. Secrecy is the enemy of the truth. The CIA and all other secrecy in government must be abolished. In order to make these changes it will be necessary to replace our corrupt bought and paid for Congress with new blood not paid for by a foreign government.
Norm Stamper, a former 34 year police veteran who ended up
Chief of Police in Seattle, Washington, wrote an excellent op ed piece published in the Los Angeles Times in 2005 “Let Those Dopers Be”. He advocates legalizing and regulating drugs for the reasons cited above and others. I urge everyone to read his excellent and well thought out article. It is easily found unless by chance they have censored it too.
