On this week’s edition of Real Politik public intellectual and academic iconoclast Darrell Hamamoto joins James to address an array of issues including the foundation-funded identity politics movement characterizing US college campuses in 2016. Hamamoto’s incisive socio-political research and commentary revealing the machinations of the modern power elite and knowledge machine have made him a significant force for meaningful awareness and change. Such efforts have been met with major resistance by his university employer and the larger forces governing today’s philanthropic and federally-dependent academic institutions.
Darrell Hamamoto is ranking professor Asian American Studies at University of California Davis. He holds degrees in political science, popular culture, and sociology, and is a graduate of University of California at Irvine’s Comparative Cultures doctoral program. A Fullbright Scholar (Japan) Hamamoto is presently the senior ranking professor in the Department of Asian American Studies at UC Davis. Throughout his 30 year academic career he has become a major figure in the study of media, race, and popular culture. Professor Hamamoto’s latest book is Servitors of Empire: Studies in the Dark Side of Asian America (TrineDay 2014). He is also the author of Monitored Peril: Asian Americans and the Politics of TV Representation and Nervous Laughter: Television Situation Comedy and Liberal Democratic Ideology.

I didn’t know Mao was educated at Yale but then, it’s really no surprise.
I’ve found that JT (James Tracy) and possibly (formerly?) leftish leaning academics, here Hamamoto, seem to underestimate the agency of indigenous populations in so-called ‘european colonialism.’ When the Kenyans reclaimed control from the british over their country, more than a thousand Kenyans died of inter-tribal warfare while only around thirty five europeans were murdered. Gandhi stressed the importance of the upper class elite forging bonds with the lower class of Indians as a requisite to gaining independence. The era or ‘european’ (I prefer semitic) colonialism needed a complicit and even predatory class of native elites to establish its domination. This aspect of the colonial period is largely ignored and this seems to feed into the liberal hatred of whites. Certain feminists coined the concept ‘horizontal violence’ to somehow absolve women of class and interpersonal aggressions. The more accurate term for these dynamics within ‘oppressed’ groups is geometric violence.
Recently I think Breitbart reported that only a third of americans truly qualify as middle class, so the middle class is more hanging on than just encountering subversion. Where have you guys been…? Or is it just that the american middle class is largely white so its annihilation hasn’t registered much in your liberal schema?
To add, is it possible that the upper classes of these ‘colonized’ peoples were always oppressing the masses of europeans? Isn’t that what’s obscenely obvious now?
I’ll never get how academia foisted anti-white racism onto America under the guise of ‘progress’ and ‘equality’ starting in the 1960’s. But then, I came from an anguish/celtic father who worked his way through an inner city college to make ‘a better life’ after going to Viet Nam. Imagine a whitey WASP carrying himself? Could it be? Or is my X chromosome the divide here…?
Sarcasm aside, it was an interesting podcast.
Every group has been conned and used.
Academia had always been a tool of the elite. The ‘movement’ toward public ‘education’ in the mid 1800s was fueled supposedly by the influx of unskilled and non-English speaking people of Europe. It was a boon for the elite. Taxation would provide for the ‘free’ education and the indoctrination was masked as education. A win-win for the elite.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Frankfurt School (aka the Institute for Social Research) was sent over to the U.S. to implement another phase of the plan. Americans were beginning to be further propagandized to believe all ‘classes’ should aspire to ‘education’ beyond age 17. In came all manner of institutions of higher education for social engineering. Now the elite had good foot soldiers on whom they could count to perform all the needed bureaucratic functions for their brave new world.
The U.S. was established and was always meant to be the elite’s bludgeon to ensure world ‘democracy’. The fact that Dr. Tracy and Mr. Hamamoto came late to the party isn’t unusual at all. I do think, however, that Mr. Hamamoto is still laboring under his “liberal with a capital L” indoctrination to his detriment. To my mind, liberal with a capital L is simply Horace Mann’s purported ideology of secular, non-sectarian morality, which doesn’t exist in the real world. No morality can be non-sectarian. It’s either sectarian or it’s masking the state’s clenched fist inside a velvet glove. The brave new world is, in fact, a world wide agenda. It has been implemented at different rates of speed and under different names all over the world. The elite are inter-generational. They have all the time, money and power to plan, to implement, and to revise plans when necessary.
Mao Zedong was educated at Yale — he who spoke not a word of foreign language, and never stepped foot out of China, except for a trip to the Soviet Union?
Yalu…meaning Yale in China, the same Yale with The Russell Trust(322 Skull & Bones), the same Russell Family(Samuel Russell) who helped destabilize China in the first place with British East India’s controlled OPIUM TRADE. Yes…Skull & Bones Yale did support COMMUNISM(Antony Sutton).
“Between 1607 and 1682, more than 90,000 European immigrants, “three-quarters of them chattel bond-labourers, were brought to Virginia and Maryland.” Following the “establishment of the Royal African Company in 1672, a steady supply of African slaves was secured.” Problems became paramount, however, as the lower classes tended to be very rebellious, which consisted of “an amalgam of indentured servants and slaves, of poor whites and blacks, of landless freemen and debtors.” The lower classes were united in opposition to the elites oppressing them, regardless of background.[6]
David McNally, Another World is Possible: Globalization and Anti-Capitalism (Arbeiter Ring Publishing, 2006),
The liberal hatred of whites is social engineering garbage and codified language. Just imagine the pissed off “middle class” realizing that their indentured servitude never ended..

Despicable Florida Atlantic University professor defends Sharia Law and the cutting off of hands. Will he be fired? Of course not.

Now the Government Can Legally Kill Christians
“Bill Dannemeyer
U.S. Congressman, 1979-1992
Your U.S. government can now legally kill Christians for the “crime” of worshipping Jesus Christ! A diabolic deception has been perpetrated on the American people by their OWN leaders, Senators and Congressmen, who have sold their soul to the devil. On March 5, 1991, in the House of Representatives, and March 7, 1991, in the U.S. Senate, without any knowledge of, or input by, the people of the United States, U.S. Senators and Congressmen passed a law that is so outrageous – and frankly unconstitutional – that it forces the American people to be bound by a set of monstrous rules, called the Noahide Laws, rules that make the belief in Jesus Christ a crime punishable by decapitation by guillotine! On March 20, 1991, President George H.W. Bush, a supposed Christian, signed the bill into law.

BREAKING NEWS-PARIS UNDER MUSLIM SIEGE – News Blackout as Riots Wreck the city!Paris Under Muslim Siege 2 Riots, Killing, Arson May 25 ’16

I’m looking at this,
and the fact that is comes from a former congressman is significant,
and it is definitely outrageous that members of congress are sold out to the Jewish lobby to even consider this-but I don’t see extreme results that you are posting, I don’t see that any laws were ernacted
Edward Teller was mentioned by Darrell as teaching at UC Davis but he also taught for years at UC Berkeley. He was a patient and fantastic teacher, even teaching basic physics to undergraduates. If the university thought to get huffy and restrictive because of employing him, it didn’t stop him from his teaching mission.

Florida Atlantic University Prof Praises Cutting Off Hands As Part Of Sharia Law

As always I enjoy listening you two Professors who always further my education. I was reading some of Mao’s poems a couple of months ago. A British critic once luke-warmly praised Mao’s poems by saying they were “not as bad as Hitler’s paintings.”Hitler’s paintings, as I have seen, show very good technique, but are almost like architectural drawings, as they depict a world of orderly houses sans people. Mao on the other hand used to write poetry, while his Red Guard slaughtered millions of people who represented the Four Olds, old customs, thoughts which were essentially Chinese cultural ideas and ways that developed over hundreds of years of Chinese History. The Four Olds, were never clearly defined, making it easier to fight against them.

He says SB277 is all about coming together, although it will exclude 200,000 children who are not completely vaccinated from California schools. But it appears that the truth is coming out, as it always does.
Loved this interview with Darrell Hamamoto, but he wussed out at the end! NO – do NOT send your kids to a University unless they absolutely HAVE to have a degree! Every university I’ve “spent time at” (and we’ll leave it at that…) has infantalized students, pandered to them, tortured a visible percentage of faculty and created cowards out of 98% of faculty through tyrannical, overpaid administrators and malpractices.
My advice is: be a part-time student and study only the subjects THAT WILL MOVE YOU FORWARD IN LIFE. not the forced, mandatory academic classes…Just PICK & CHOOSE. Take even just one class, or better yet, one credit hour so you can get the ID, the software discounts and use of campus resources, like libraries. Then really use them!
Btw, a female faculty member who harmlessly spoke the “n” word has been fired on a pretense:
