PayPal Shuts Down MHB’s Account

On January 22, 2015 Memory Hole Blog received an email from “PayPal Brand Risk Management,” stating  that it is closing MHB’s account used to receive donations. Memory Hole has had a relationshippaypal2 with PayPal for two years. Suddenly, however, the company has chosen to unilaterally discontinue MHB’s account services.

Here is the key passage from the email announcing discontinuation of the account:

Due to the nature of your activities, we have chosen to discontinue service to you in accordance with PayPal’s User Agreement. As a result, we have placed a permanent limitation on your account.

We ask that you please remove all references to PayPal from your website. This includes removing PayPal as a payment option, as well as the PayPal logo and/or shopping cart.

On January 22 MHB posted a brief piece on Prof. Jim Fetzer’s new book, And Nobody Died in Boston Either. As many readers are aware, in November 2015 Amazon.com refused to carry Fetzer’s title, Nobody Died at Sandy Hook. This is a disturbing pattern of de facto censorial practice all too familiar under the post-9/11 police state America has become.

  2. Is there anyway we can band together to support Jim Tracy? What I am referring to are the two sites: PalPal and Go Fund Me as it concerns the HONR Network. I was under the impression [perhaps faulty] that neither of these two sites accept P.O. Boxes as legitmate mailing addresses for funds? Perhaps I am wrong, but this is something I still remember.

    Can you imagine three years after the “event”, and the HONR Network still is hawking for donations? Why? How much more money could they need?

  3. This needs to go viral. I have not heard this happening to others. Was this a threat to Alex Jones and others to remove Nobody Died from their stores? Time to look at that user agreement and see if can be challenged as discrimination. Nothing illegal. More political correctness creeping.

  5. Infragard. We were attacked by numerous corporate agencies years ago. Essentially, you are being “gang stalked”. The upshot for us was that we were driven into homelessness and had to cease all economic, political and outreach activities… and we were still stalked in foreign countries to which we fled. If you can gather a group of supporters who blast these injustices far and wide each time they occur, you might get them to back down… somewhat. Bottom line, they control the culture. If you refuse to accept that, you will become a target. But it is a negotiation. The more you do to bring their tactics to the light of day (like this article), the less willing they will be to allow you to expose their MO. In other words, they want to bury you but not with the lights on.

  13. Maybe PayPal will reinstate the account if you pretend your fictional “child” died in a fake shooting. That’s working just fine for the bogus “Sandy Hook parents.”

    How many millions have those con artists raised — and how much of that (stolen) cash was processed via PayPal?   15. Let’s put this in perspective:

    The U.S. Supreme Court stated political speech is the highest form of protected speech;

    One would assume this type of action by PayPal is infrequent in cases of political speech. This probably usually happens with fraud and/or hate speech;

    This happened to Assange and Wikileaks, and, was accompanied by bans by the major credit card companies.

    The best response is to mail money orders using certified or Priority mail that can be tracked.

      1. Maybe. One thought is that these are private companies, and there isn’t much that can be done to challenge their business decisions. If the government stopped postal money orders sent through the mail you would have “state action”, i.e., a potential lawsuit with teeth.

    “e. Act in a manner that is defamatory, trade libelous, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing;

    “f. Provide false, inaccurate or misleading Information;”

    If these are the reasons for shutting down the MHB account, then prove it up and we’ll solve all these mysteries right now.

    2. I know a guy who provides hosting for websites and blogs whose business is booming in the last month or two precisely because the big companies are imposing more restrictions on speech. Oddly enough, WordPress specifically has gone from moderating ‘hate’ for awhile to then not doing any moderating for at least eight months to now moderating it again, so that probably doesn’t augur well.

    3. Some, including Dr. Tracy may be interested to know that when you visit the WordPress_org website you may download an exact and fully functional WordPress system to your own personal server. At that point forward, it is impervious to suspension or removal by WordPress. My own blog runs this way, functions the same way and I’m able to update the system continuously with a button click. The initial setup of my own remote WordPress took 10 minutes and some web hosts have an automatic WordPress install feature. I recommend everyone with a WordPress-hosted site make this shift.

  35. Hmm,.. MHB is accused of violating PayPal’s “acceptable use policy” but no one seems able to explain what constitutes a violation of that policy. Is the policy written down anywhere or is this something they just pull out when they want to screw somebody? This incident is yet another illustration of how the system works, First FAU fires Professor Tracy in direct violation of its contract and with no regard to freedom of speech and academic freedom, Then PayPal follows up by terminating MHB’s account without explanation. The message has been sent; Shut up or else. Now ask yourself who has the power to apply such pressure?

    1. Paypal, like Zuckerberg’s Facebook, is part of the surveillance network that pervades this country. To think that people use social networking to discuss any and all of their feelings is beyond the pale and borders on unfathomable. Why do people wish to reveal their “secrets”, anyway?

And the FBI is bemoaning the 4th amendment, as if it had anything to do with the awful plotted drill they made up. This is another book for Fetzer and friends. I can’t wait.

        4. I think the issue pushed by the FBI and others is, they want back door access to all services and systems. Therefore, a new system of high encryption that is either open source or simply incorruptible is a huge threat to them. It would be akin to Clinton operating her own mail server or an email service based on PGP security. Clearly it would become the system of choice for ISIS.

          The FBI just wants to protect us from ourselves, because we’re all Alex from a Clockwork Orange. Like the cops in that California bordertown that rigged cameras in the dressing rooms at Dress Barn. That’s where ISIS was mixing their dirty bombs.

    2. Alex Jones works for the Cabal. The free speech discus comments on his sites tell the real truth, and the majority of the posters (not Alex Jones or his “guests”) are completely awake. The comments are far more informative than the actual articles written by IW and PP (Stratfor) employees.

      The anonymous man on the street (light gray anonymous discus posters) know the real truth and are a wealth of information.
      The linked discus posters (users with an account) are usually controlled opposition.

      Those have been my observations over the past two years.

  40. I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised. The internet is the last available resource for information and education that isn’t subject to the whims of the controllers. Sadly, the more they are successful in these efforts, the more emboldened they will become.

    I am not technically savvy enough to have solutions to some of these problems. It seems obvious that we need to be thinking about alternatives. In stead of asking existing services that are controlled to do the right thing, we should develop alternatives.

    If the current trend continues we will soon be unable to post information or to fund anything. Dr. Eowyn’s comment mirrors my own. I don’t recommend asking the perpetrators for relief. The more independent we become the better.

  41. According to the screenshot, the REASON for limiting the account is as follows:

    “When you signed up for your PayPal account, you agreed to out User Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. Because some of your recent transactions violated this policy, we’ve had to permanently limit your account.”

    So the problem was with “recent transactions” and not necessarily blog content. Still not specific as to what exactly was violated.

    From looking at other examples of this on the web, I would say the date is just when the comment was added and not the date of some violation.

    I also noticed that PayPal encourages people to report UA/AUP violations to them on their website. I can see potential for abuse there.

    1. I’m not sure what you’re saying. Are you suggesting that someone reported some “hanky-panky” with their donation? I can see how somebody could use that as a method to get an account shut down.

        “We encourage you to report violations of this Acceptable Use Policy to PayPal immediately. If you have a question about whether a type of transaction may violate the Acceptable Use Policy, you can email PayPal’s AUP Compliance Department at: aupviolations@paypal.com.”

        The “report” word links to a login page. Other than that, the e-mail addy may or may not accept “reports”.

        Considering that the HONR network has been caught collaborating online about who to screw next, this certainly is coincidental to posting about a new book that expands on even more public-private partnership fraud.

        Speculation and guesswork. Nothing provable AFAIK.

        Just saying JT may want to look into any “recent transactions” that may have been the culprit. The reason for limiting the account did say “some”. Which means that most of the transactions were fine.

  42. This is an absolute outrage! I will be terminating my use of Paypal in short order, as soon as I can find an acceptable substitute. This should never be allowed to happen in America!

    1. I am in no way supporting the (no-evil) behemoth, Google. But frankly they are the logical alternative to PayPal. I’m referring to Google Wallet. Unlike PayPal Wallet provides you with a MasterCard that can be used almost anywhere and, most especially to purchase real world things like food, gas, etc. It allows transfer of funds between anyone with a Gmail account, cash back at ATMs and instant withdrawal of funds into bank accounts, where PayPal is notorious for taking days to extract “your” money. Not an enforcement, but a hell of a lot better than the openly criminal PayPal.

  43. In the middle of the 19th century, Marx and Engels predicted that under Free Enterprise–capitalism–the money–capital–would be increasingly held in fewer and fewer hands. This is what has happened historically, a few hundred families–the 1%–owning as much as the rest of the population combined. Money is a power asset and allowed the oligarchy to BUY the government. The American people have lost all control of American power, which can now do anything it wants.

The power problem is the capitalist oligarchy, the 1%. To fight the oligarchy the people have to unite against their power; and this unity includes the Muslims, Blacks, Hispanics, etc.

    This cannot be done while Whites demean and denigrate non-Whites, or Jews or women or any vulnerable group, no matter how much the truth consensus of the truth organs say that they are the problem. The problem is the rich and powerful, who have transform the traditional US power system into a gangster state.

    A number of commenter have said that the attack on James was initiated from the top. This is essentially the case even if their institutionalized organs did it without their knowledge for their benefit. The major enemy of James, and the American people, is American power. There has to be a general realization that this is so for any action correcting it to be effective.

      2. Everyone should read the above-linked article. It relates to Dr. Tracy’s predicament by profiling PayPal, exposed Greenwald and Poitras as the scoundrels they are and explains the important story of the withholding of the Snowden files.

        My only contribution is to add the possibility that Edward (Eric) Snowden himself may have been a construct. I cite as evidence of this possibility…
        1.) Snowden was reported to be holed up in some lounge at a Russian airport for a full month. Hundreds of reporters flew to the scene to report yet none ever claimed to actually see or speak with him. Not a good sign when hundreds of reporters from diverse outlets fail to report this inconsistency/anomaly.
        2.) The whole Snowden storyline reads like the sleazy paperback-esque stuff we’ve come to expect from the US Intel community.

        In support of Snowden being a legitimate whistleblower, I concede that the presidential plane of Venezuela was downed by US forces and searched, apparently hoping to find Snowden. A bit too involved as far as propaganda by the US. The US is usually more ham-fisted.

        Again, for anyone here curious about the Snowden affair or smitten with Greenwald the above-linked article is very interesting and higher quality than you’ll find from most other independent sources. Shout out to Scott Creighton as well for being critical of Snowden from the get go.

      I have not demeaned or denigrated any “vulnerable” groups, nor, as a member of a “vulnerable group”, felt demeaned or denigrated by general society. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that more black people feel comfortable (safe) in large groups of white people than vice-versa. And not because of our “programming”, either.       1. Thanks, Recynd, for your comment, it was very illuminating. Of course I didn’t argue that Whites exploited non-Whites, the whole point was that power instigates racism to divide and ruin. This is a historical condition done in power systems all over the world, but especially in the US heritage. Americans have inherited a political culture that assents to violent racist subjugation.

        But I did not understand the role of silence in this political consensus. Academics, for example, are far more silent in a discussion of racism than the White working class. Workers tend to argue that they are not racist and besides, it’s justified. Academics tend to respond with silence. Apparently it hurts people to acknowledge that we have inherited a historical culture of racism. You want me to stop talking about it because you are not racist. And this tendency of silence is identified with by international scholars as well as other social scientists.

        American liberalism is a historical tendency of racist violence and subjugation. both Jefferson and Jackson, the two founders of the Dem party celebrated every year, were violent racists, Jackson not only being a slave holder by made his reputation by killing and impoverishing Indians. You are quite right that I am not fighting inequality, but subjugation, and this is a power struggle, requiring the empowerment of the powerless.

        The most difficult enemy of this struggle is the notion that we are colorblind; that is why I like this blog, the racism is so overt. My objection to Marxism is that the major form of oppression is not class oppression, it is racial oppression, and in the USA, occurs both domestically and in foreign policy. Breaking the silence in the mainstream truth consensus therefore subverts the more concealed racism, such as that of the universities. Eventually it will be incorporated conceptually in ideological theory. But first must be made explicit US-America’s heritage of homicidal racist subjugation.

          Obama has just begun the financing of a trillion dollars to improve nuclear weapons. They are being improved in order to be used.   48. Back from my travels in the field (where fake terror happens). I did not go to San Bernardino seeking evidence of fraud. Boston’s pristine building facades after the BMB told me all I needed to know. But I know someone at Redlands, the town where the alleged perps met their ends or something like. I don’t even keep up with the details anymore, there are so many of these.

    Here are some observations: There are two sorts of people shopping at the Costco in San Berdoo/Loma Linda: lots and lots of white people (one had a Lake Winnepesaukee tee-shirt – so she’s probably a New Hampshire origin person) and also Hispanic/Native American. I saw probably no black people and one guy with a child who might possibly be an Arab.

    But the place is kind of desert-like, very hot in the summer, lots of palm trees – near the date-growing region such as it is of California. There was once a kind of romantic vision of the place where the desert would be induced to bloom with irrigated fruit trees and palms. Kind of like the romance of Israel back in the day, harking back to generalized romance about the Middle East which once fired the imaginations of people from colder places (Think the silent film, The Sheik, with Rudolf Valentino in the title role), where gardens are created by man’s ingenuity. A lot of that is passe nowadays, but on a clear winter day at 70 degrees, with snow on the surrounding mountains you can feel that vibe again.

    So why stage the event there? Granted there are military bases in the area, places where desert training has gone on for wars in the middle east, at least since Patton’s tank warfare. I am sure it is still such a training ground.

    Anyway, the way this event has left its mark is to get people talking about it, to have parents concerned about kids on campus there, to gossip about the event as though they own it somehow, a manufactured college memory like some Big Game that everyone will always remember. A lot about alma maters can be a crock – but this takes it up several notches.

    Another relative joined us for dinner (with our Redlands undergrad). She told us that our cousins in Paris had a friend whose granddaughter was killed in the big massacre there. I think you have to define friend – which in France is a pretty high bar to get over – and then ask whether people were really friends or just social acquaintances.

    These stories grow like miracles from earlier ages and bogus relics are sold as long as people will buy them.

    1. You are way kinder about the Pasadena religious group than I, Musings, perhaps you know more about them. I met their central public relations person and he was a real sleazeball. They did have a strong cultural streak, however, and I attended some of their concerts.

  49. I watched Pawn Sacrifice about Bobby Fischer tonight. A boy chess prodigy whose Jewish Communist mother was under FBI surveillance before he was even born. Fischer was outspokenly anti-Semitic and a Holocaust revisionist. He claimed to have been sabotaged by the CIA and powerful, militant Judaism all his life. His handler was a Roman Catholic priest ( an intelligence favorite). The story, based on his own life, showed him listening to anti-Semitic and related right-wing/Evangelical audiotapes throughout his chess career (this sounds like CIA programming). This guy, in my opinion, was manipulated from birth. He was a major celebrity tool used to incite militant Judaism. In my opinion, many Jews will ultimately be scapegoated after they serve their purpose in collaborating against gentiles with known or perceived anti-Semitic views. Washington will eventually bring civil rights and domestic terrorism charges under 18 U.S.C. 241 and Section 802 of the Patriot Act for a case that it largely greased the rails for and manufactured..

    1. Bobby Fisher was a real head case ideologically, PeaceFrog. I used to play chess, not nearly at that level, and a chess master from NY who knew Fisher stayed with me during one tournament. He met him downtown LA and the story the master recounted was so weird you probably wouldn’t believe it.

      Fisher knew a little about public relations, and built himself up as the villain of chess. Many of the stories about him aren’t true. I’ll tell you that is. In perhaps the strongest tourney ever played in the early 1960’s, Larsen sacrificed a queen against his opponent! we all went to the analyzing room and Fisher came in and moved a few pieces and said to the crowd “absolutely forced!” But he didn’t tell us how. But Larsen’s opponent resigned after a move or two, so it must have been.

      This is way more exciting for chess players than everybody else.

      1. I’ve read some transcripts of his radio interviews in Iceland, etc., and he was a self-promoting and seemingly paranoid individual. However, I believe in the old adage that just because you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean their not out for you. I believe that his statements put him on the radar of the ADL, JDL and similar groups with a militant Zionist bent. I do not believe that “the Jews” are behind gang stalking, or, similar harassment. However, I strongly believe that certain individuals, and entire families have been sabotaged by gang stalking because of known or believed anti-Semitic leanings or language. Michael Jackson, Randy Quaid, Charlie Sheen (also had a Jewish mother) are a few examples of targeted celebrities. It has been established that the ADL worked closely with SFPD’s intelligence unit. I do not believe that this foray into politics and the intelligence business was a wise move for the interests represented by the ADL. When you work with a large snake you have to consider the fact that you may be its next meal.

The Santa Monica Pitigorsky cup was in1966. around then to the mid-1970’s Fisher was involved with a religious cult in Pasadena, and I assumed his eccentricity was related to his relation to them.         4. Fischer was certainly eccentric, but do you know what was really going on inside his squash? Was he confused or was he right on? Fischer loved to manipulate people by acting erratically but do you believe that if he were mentally unbalanced he could play as well as he did? In many regards, were Fischer alive today he’d be an enormous personality because of his anti-semitism falsely called self loathing, I might add. What will it take to get the “good jews” to rise up against the Israel lobby and the Tribal way of doing business?
          Many people loved Fischer because of his “screw you” attitude and utter independence to say what was on his mind. The man would have been a giant today……until the Tribe got to him with their gangstalking.

        5. Fischer hung out in the 70’s with the evangelical Christians at Ambassador College Pasadena. It wasn’t so much a cult as a bunch of people around Herbert W. Armstrong, and his son, Garner Ted Armstrong whose roots were in 1930’s radio evangelism.

          I happened to live in the bottom half of a house occupied by a couple above me associated with that school. The man was an Annapolis grad (if memory serves) who taught some technical subject there. His wife was a stay-at-home mom who ground her own flour using a bicycle (probably as exercise). She was very snippy to me about my overnight visits by my boyfriend and accused me of having “no values.” They didn’t seem “cult” but actually just typical for the prejudice and conventionality of their views, colored by (I think) traditional Southern ones, where young ladies needed to behave themselves and find the proper place in life.

          My parents-in-law (who were Holocaust survivors) used to like to walk around Ambassador’s campus, because it was so orderly and the young people were (in contrast to the hippie look on most campuses) dressed in business attire. I don’t know for sure, but I think someone noticed them and took them around, and made a good impression. They could not understand their son’s or my disgust with the school. The Armstrong publication was “The Plain Truth” (which you could find at the end of the grocery store line in Pasadena, for free). It would not surprise me if, like my parents-in-law, Fischer was looked on as someone who might be used to promote conversion. The people around the original church were British Israelites (though also Americans) who believed the British were descended from the Ten Lost Tribes. They were Sabbatarians who held Saturday as the Lord’s day. Later, apolocalyptic themes were emphasized, with specific dates given for the Second Coming (which canny organizers in the church realized had a limited shelf life, so they switched more to “values” training and denunciations of modern life).

          The whole school was shocked and shattered by a rift between father and son, and allegations by young men that one of them was hitting on them. I don’t know how far that went. I cannot find anything in Wikipedia about it, but I know that hypocrisy was part of the story.

        6. your comments on chess reminds me of the time I was busted on a jaywalking rap. The chess house near Westlake park, a international chess mecca in LA, closed at about 2 am and I was walking to my car across Wilshire. Two cops stopped me for jakwalking across Wilshire, although there was not a car in sight for miles.

          They checked me out an found that I had not paid a ticket for speeding in Arizona. This was quite wrong, I had paid it, but obviously there was some foulup between states and it hadn’t registered. So I was arrested and put in a cell with 5 other criminals, one of whom was awake and named Buster.

          I asked him if he wanted to play chess, and he got a board from the trustee, and we played. He was pretty good. It turned out in was waiting to be sent to a state prison for robbing supermarkets. “What did you do that for?” I asked. Well, for the obvious reason, that was where the money was, and he couldn’t get a job. Two hours later they released me, to resume my old criminal habits. I left ten bucks for Buster for smokes, he was going to be imprisoned for a horrific number of years. I think of Buster when the War on Crime heats up.

          Buster was White, as are half the people imprisoned. 40% of the people of Flint are White, currently being poisoned by environmental racism. What White reaction does not understand, or want to understand, is that they are also the victims of racism, which the oligarchy uses to divide and ruin. The various races of Flint must unite to fight it, just as the various races of US-American must unite to fight the prison system and other forms of enslavement and subjugation.

    2. I know someone who was actually a pretty close friend and confidante of Fischer’s. He was totally lucid but cranky during the period they knew each other, the end phase of his life.

      I’d be careful of ever taking any person’s word about any truly controversial person.

      Isn’t it sort of disrespectful to jewish people to assume they can never turn against judaism without being seen as ‘mentally ill’ (a condition the jews attribute to Fischer) or ‘mind controlled?’ Your theory, Peace Frog, is the first I’ve encountered about the man.

      I think he was mostly just embittered by the jews themselves. His mother was seemingly grossly negligent of Bobby as a young boy, and later mostly invested in using his prodigy talent. That combination of abandonment and over involvement by parents tends to cause emotional problems or at the least anger issues in people. The jews themselves used him. I’ve read that they clearly observed personality problems developing when Bobby was young but refrained from addressing them and helping him, maybe thinking emotional health or equanimity would blunt his talent and drive.

      Bobby Fischer was used by the jews and he knew it. He may have clung to the notion (Regina’s lie) that his father was ‘white’ or whatever to defend his developing ego from the self interest of the jewish adults around him, and from identifying with the more extremist hostility his jewish peers, many of whom were probably jealous of him…

But there are a number of tech savvy people here to may be able to figure out how we can we can get money from PenPal.

        We can then keep it or give it to Tracy to pay the legal fees. And we can tell e-friends how they can do the same, to impress on PenPal that repressing truthers might be costly.

      1. I’ve been saying the same thing about video-hosting websites like YouTube: too much power.

        I see the problem, though. A startup creates a little platform (or a potentially big one), has to lure people away from the Big Boys (YouTube, Vimeo), and, if successful (not likely), BAM! One of the Big Boys offers to buy for a price you cannot resist. Voilá: no real competition.

        I’ll be interested to see if service like Carbonite sell out; there’s probably no need for it (everybody’s info is already in the hands of those who want it.).

        Is anyone here super tech-savvy? What does it take to create one’s own high-capacity servers? Is it just a matter of $$, or equipment, or physical space, or…what?

        1. Just today I saw a post on another site, describing an alternative to Facebook, http://www.seen.life . The site-design is so similar that It almost looks like a parody of Facebook, but its main page claims that everything will always be kept private.

          No clue who started it. Does anybody know anything about it?

        2. I haven’t heard of Seen.life, Marie. I’m not a big social media fan, and I only got a Facebook account in the past year, after missing the news of a dear friend’s son’s passing (and thus missing the funeral) because I was “the only one” without a Facebook account. I also wanted to be able to read posts by my neighborhood group.

          Even though my page is set to “private”, I don’t have any historical info in my profile (no high school or college named, no maiden name, no profession or family members names listed, etc.), I don’t have my husband’s or child’s name anywhere, and the only photos I post are of my dog (he’s very cute), and one or two profile photos so my friends know it’s really me. I only “friend” people I know, or those I can verify have a relationship with someone I know (Dr. Hamamoto, for example). I make an effort not to post any particularly inflammatory comments, politically or otherwise, and I’m careful what I “like”.

  56. If you search for discussion of PayPal practices on the web you’ll find very in-depth analysis and great insight as well as outrageous horror stories. In my opinion, PayPal is playing very loose with their corporate charter likely as a result of their cushy status with various gov agencies. They may think/know that they are above the law in some respects.

    What I found interesting that may be the ultimate reason or justification for Dr. Tracy’s account suspension relates to the concept of “donations” and what that concept means to PayPal and within the law. For instance, have you ever been to a blog where the owner posts a link labeled something like “pitch in” or “buy me a beer?” SOME of those are likely the result of having been instructed by PayPal to halt use of the term “donate.”

    It gets sticky if you read the basic terms on PayPals site regarding who may establish an account for solicitation of funds. Remember, much of PayPals service is devoted to EBay sales. Those aren’t donations. They even state that “technically” a person must be operating a non-profit business if they are to accept donations, even if its a sole-proprietorship.

    So it may come down to someone having reported MHB as accepting donations without fully disclosing a non-profit status. PayPal also explains in their terms that the use of donated funds must be fully disclosed. My theory is that PayPal probably knew that allowing anyone with an account to be able to solicit donations was somehow illegal on some basis. But, out of a desire to expand their services beyond EBay sales went for it.

    Another issue that I’ve experienced personally is the excessive time it takes to “cash out” PayPal balances to connected bank accounts. Clearly the process is a simple one, no more complex than any transaction. Yet, twice I found it took roughly 7 days for the transactions to complete and others have indicated it taking even longer. Obviously the longer PayPal has your money, the more money they make. And this doesn’t even consider cases where account disputed lock up funds for months or cases where fumes are simply ceased.

    1. Thanks for a very thorough discussion of Paypal’s practices. I too have observed the long float in their favor, before someone can collect money. I am sure it is designed to be at the outer limit of what the law allows.
