The Sandy Hook School massacre of December 14 has no doubt been seized upon by the present police state as a raison d’être for heightened gun control measures. Yet a more subtle element of the event is the promotion of a political worldview under the cloak of psychiatry and an increasingly prominent notion of “community building.”[1]
Stepping into the emotional fallout of December’s mass shooting is Dr. John Woodall. The former Harvard psychiatrist was almost immediately making the rounds in Newtown, consoling the grief stricken and advocating a seemingly unique communitarian creed. Woodall’s presence was unsurprising for locals since he resides in Sandy Hook, where his “Unity Project” non-profit is also based. What is more, the event was eerily appropriate for the “teaching children resilience” mission Woodall’s organization was already undertaking in Newtown area schools. Unity Project had already contributed to such exercises following major crises including 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina.
At first glance the Unity Project appears to be yet another new agey, “let go of the hate” platform for Woodall’s pop-humanist psychology. We must learn to overcome our ordeals and look beyond our differences on the way to one big group hug. The organization has created such a program for the youth of Newtown’s high school where students have been encouraged to fill out a psychological survey and negotiate with administrators and teachers to lessen the homework load.[2]
On its face the prospect of developing well-rounded and engaged citizens sounds desirable. Who wants to be considered a holdout against local cooperation, peaceful coexistence, even global trade harmonization? The consequence these days includes running the risk of being deemed a grouchy extremist. Perhaps this is why groups are actively espousing and disseminating Unity Project precepts in schools and communities throughout the world.
“As we move more deeply into a national and global climate fraught with complex and nuanced problems,” Woodall explains,
young people need to become masters of working with this complexity and diversity in cooperative and constructive ways. Our democracy and the happiness of our lives depend upon it. Young people need to know how to recognize bias, see the big picture and resist and problem solve cooperatively and to resist the human tendency to allow fear and anger to pull us to simplistic and extremist solutions that only create division and conflict and end up worsening the problems we face.[3]

I do this for a living—I do trauma work for a living. I ran programs overseas for the State Department. I’ve worked in school shootings before. But all that—none of that counts. All that counts at that moment is that another human being is there for you … It’s a strong community. It’s a resilient community. The task now is for the community to give this a meaning. It’s like in New York City after 9/11. The lesson of 9/11 wasn’t that we should be afraid or angry, or bitter or blame or point fingers. The lesson of 9/11 is that we’re all in this together and we need to show compassion for each other to give meaning to the loss.
In Woodall’s evaluation the death and horror from such events constitute a sort of nightmarish martyrdom from which a greater good will arise. Indeed, many of the Sandy Hook victims’ families publicly exhibit this very ability to unemotionally cope with profound loss, an ostensible response and mindset that does not go unnoticed by the broader public.[4] The wide exposure of this apparent struggle suggests a mass conditioning toward the community resilience that is a foremost element of what contemporary social engineers have termed the “Newtown transition.”
Along these lines and throughout the bulk of Woodall’s writings and pronouncements there is a clear resemblance to the precepts of the Bahá’í faith, to which Woodall is a devotee. Even though his professional training and pedigree suggest a “scientific” (qua psychiatry) approach to personal and community problems, Woodall’s writings are essentially those espoused by the Bahá’ís. He just seldom declares such affiliations or beliefs publicly.[5] An exception was when Woodall and his spouse Margo Woodall recited Bahá’í passages at the December 16, 2012 interfaith gathering for Sandy Hook victims attended by President Obama.
From its headquarters in Haifa Israel and under the authority of the Universal House of Justice, Bahá’í is overseen country-to-country by National and Local Spiritual Assemblies. The religion is an international phenomenon, with its spiritual founder prophesying a global socio-political transformation under the Bahá’í order’s aegis. “The Bahá’í Faith is the youngest of the world’s independent religions,” the International Bahá’í Community website notes.
Its founder, Bahá’u’lláh (1817-1892), is regarded by Bahá’ís as the most recent in the line of Messengers of God that stretches back beyond recorded time and that includes Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, Christ and Muhammad. The central theme of Bahá’u’lláh’s message is that humanity is one single race and that the day has come for its unification in one global society. God, Bahá’u’lláh said, has set in motion historical forces that are breaking down traditional barriers of race, class, creed, and nation and that will, in time, give birth to a universal civilization.[6]
In 1982 the Bahá’í faith unambiguously professed before the United Nations “the goal of a new World Order, Divine in origin, all-embracing in scope, equitable in principle, challenging in its features — that a harassed humanity must strive.”[7]
Toward this end Bahá’ís’ guiding philosophy and goals include:
All humanity is one family.
Women and men are equal.
All prejudice—racial, religious, national, or economic—is destructive and must be overcome.
We must investigate truth for ourselves, without preconceptions.
Science and religion are in harmony.
Our economic problems are linked to spiritual problems.
All major religions come from God.
World peace is the crying need of our time.
If this is indeed the basis of a global religion, before which all other beliefs and denominations must yield, there are a number of obvious concerns. For example, how does one define national or economic “prejudice”? Will one’s economic wherewithal be contingent upon converting to a new, state-mandated religion/spirituality? And along these lines, if science and religion are conflated, what entities will help determine the moral parameters of the many scientific pursuits that run counter to and endanger life on earth? Under such a scheme will psychiatrists and bioethicists make up a new clergy? Many of the Bahá’í tenets would fit well in a technocratic order where the state is the foremost authority.
According to the Center for Media and Democracy’s Sourcewatch database [8] the Bahá’í faith’s ambitious vision is a forthrightly political project calling for the creation of

Unification of all the world’s religions under the umbrella of the Bahá’í faith

A World Taxation System
A Single Universal Auxiliary Language
Implementation of Agenda 21 and the Earth Charter
Establishment of a World Free Trade Area
Along with the institutionalized secular faith of carbon-centric environmentalism that figures centrally in the Bahá’ís’ undertakings, the Unity Project’s understated transnationalism is likewise making inroads at public schools and in communities throughout the world. As in his previous endeavors, the Sandy Hook tragedy has provided the backdrop for Woodall’s evangelizing that seeks to realign the traumatized individual and group toward certain ideals and norms. What is arguably of concern is that Woodall proceeds under the cover of mental health professional while espousing an ardent globalist ideology that runs counter to the traditional political beliefs and religious faiths that, for better or worse, are espoused by a majority of the world’s population.
In the broader scheme of things the impulses and goals of the anti-individualistic Bahá’í faith’s and Dr. Woodall’s Unity Project provide clear glimpses of what may soon become a prevalent if not compulsory worldview–the elements of which are already being employed to ease the world’s population into a heightened tempo of violent and traumatic mediated events en route to the digitally-enforced feudalism of the twenty-first century.

Science and technology have made it quite apparent that only fully modernized people uniformly toting and brandishing the twin arms of a rigid (but always growing!) scientific dogma (principle) and its concordant (and utterly amazing!) technologies, now sweeping the planet and soon the star system (principle put into action), are the only valid and reasonable people or creatures (or indeed life of any kind) in the Universe. Earth is a place where incorrect thought is often rewarded. God goes into hiding and the vacuum is filled by all manner of deceit and subsequent earthly (but ultimately false) riches. Very very tempting. We all succumb.

Of course C S Lewis makes his remark within the confines of the Christian belief, and I think I might have to agree with you here.
Heaven and Hell may very well be our own creation.
But I still enjoy his writings very much.
However, I don’t really think God goes into hiding. For me, God is a constant that cannot change with circumstance. More likely people’s image of God doesn’t stand up to reality, especially in chaos.
Too many times, man creates God in his own image rather than the opposite; which is why it is so dangerous for people to force their idea of a religious/ideal utopia on community or government. It is arrogant, limiting and intolerant.

The problem isn’t the Bahai faith but the Monotheism in general. Monotheism seeks one world religion and one world culture under one god. That is why Christianity and Islam have been intertwined with imperialism, colonialism and the destruction of indigenous cultures and religions around the globe for centuries. Judaism is of course the root of those two, but Jews don’t have a global missionary agenda, so I cut them some slack.
The Bahai faith has fashioned itself as a Monotheistic Abrahamic religion just like Islam and Christianity.

I had long suspected that the flat appearance, lack of anger and lack of inquisitiveness, of the parents on TV right after the shooting and more recently on news interviews, smacked of some kind of hypnotism or conditioning. The fact that the parents, if they were real, were off limits to the press right after the event could have meant a grief counselor of some type went into their homes first and worked his magic.

With the near instantaneous global distribution of “knowledge” one can imagine a vast sea of people who believe this tragedy actually occurred, and that the answer to it is taking gun rights away from all Americans (or at least non-hunters, lol.)
Well, why not? With the ability to report and/or create “news” on a global scale, the power to simultaneously shape billions of minds, perhaps now is the time to create a global religion.
And I don’t mean to pick on them, but the Ba’hai faith might be a good one to use, because the writings are so voluminous the average person could never figure it out.

The fact that the media-government is now framing the gun control issue as a mental health issue should be of the great concern to all of us, because all of us could easily be determined – by mental health professionals – to be suffering from one or another mental illness, or a variety thereof.
None of the recent lone gunman shootings the media-government is trotting out – Tucson, Aurora, Sandy Hook – could have been prevented, they say, because none of the shooters had been in the mental health system.
The media-government solution is evident, although they have not yet admitted it: mandatory universal preventative mental health evaluations for everyone in order to identify peoples as mentally ill – and cure them – before someone gets hold of a gun and goes on a shooting rampage.
Once the media-government begins proposing this mandatory universal preventative mental health evaluation it will be very easy for them to demonize anyone who opposes this policy.
Who, after all, could possibly be against mandatory universal mental health evaluations that will prevent mass shootings UNLESS they are mentally ill and dangerous? Why else would they resist? They must be paranoid, gun-toting, nutcase “truther” conspiracy theorists who irrationally fear the government, which is all the more reason to disarm, institutionalize, and cure them now, before they harm someone, especially our children.
The individual independent thinker who is suspicious of government is no match for the groupthink mentality of the vast majority of the population, which has been inculcated by mass media-government propaganda, and has created hundreds of millions of brainwashed, unthinking true believers who will believe and do anything the media-government tells them to believe and do, believing the government knows best and always has their best interests in mind.
In Jonestown, the true believers obediently drank the kool-aid and went to their deaths whilst praising their magnificent leader for having loved and saved them, whilst the independent thinkers resisted and were shot or ran into the jungle.

Well said. Religion has been a weapon of social and political control for thousands of years. The Soviet Union pioneered the use of psychiatry as a tool of sociopolitical control.
In Sandy Hook we see a melding of these mechanisms in a devilishly more sophisticated form.
Ajmacdonaldjr’s comment echoes what I’ve been arguing since first hearing about the events in Sandy Hook. The idea that this is a “mental health problem” is probably the most dangerous position of all, especially when combined with the coming full implementation of Obamacare where our medical records are going to be kept electronically in a national database to which the government has full access. There are two equally scary possible consequences of this – one being that individuals will be deemed mentally unstable if they so much as seek counseling for depression or for help dealing with a major event in their lives (divorce, death of a loved one, etc.) and therefore unfit to own a firearm, and the other being that out of fear of this happening, people who may actually need help will refuse to seek it. This is a position that I’ve heard very few people take, but it was one of the first things to occur me when the gun debate started and a position that my fiancé and I have argued over many times, until just last week when he admitted to me that he now sees my point and is growing equally concerned. Even the people fighting the hardest against new gun control laws agree that what we have is a broken mental health care system and argue that this is where we should be focusing our attention.
Just when you think Sandy Hook couldn’t get any weirder, it gets weirder. Orwell wouldn’t believe it. Although the Bahai ae not like the modern American religions. There are no prophets burying golden tablets, or sickness being bad thinking, engrams that can be removed at ten grand a pop. The Wiccins, I think it is, allow their priests to marry more than two people to each other, or maybe it’s the pagans. Not that I think that there is anything wrong with that, marriage may work out better if 3 or 4 people are involved. If so, good luck to the wiccans, or the pagans, as the case may be.
The crucial element of the Bahai religion that is relevant here is that they don’t allow their adherents to engage in political struggle. This is a very convenient ban if the people have been involved in a public relations fraud and it is desired that they move on and don’t expose it. :”look on the bright side, move forward, no negative feelings, no Extremism, etc”
This whole thing would make an enormous documentary in a few years as it becomes clearer what exactly happened. The people involved may not have a general understanding of the whole caper.
On this blog, Dr. Woodall was quick to criticize Dr. Tracy for asking questions, saying it was hurting the victims’ families of Newtown.
A Harvard professor, obviously intelligent, didn’t have the same questions, didn’t notice the lack of surveillance video, didn’t see the changing narrative, the bizarre behavior of the medical examiner & witnesses?
After reading Woodalls’ critical comment, I immediately wanted to know if he had connections to a certain country in the Middle East. He does.
We were attacked by this same country in what’s known as the Lavon Affair. We were attacked by this same country during the attack on the USS Liberty. Fox News reported that intelligence agents with explosives expertise from this country were arrested on 9/11. Intelligence agents who reported that they were in our country to “document the event.”
Is this another “War by Deception” attack on our country?
In answer to your question: Yes, I believe it is.
No wonder Bertrand Russell (1872 – d.1970) made these claims: “scientific societies are as yet in their infancy. It is to be expected that advances in physiology and psychology will give governments much more control over individual mentality than they now have in tolitarian countries. Fichte laid it down that education should aim at destroying free will.” [pg. 49, The Impact of Science on Society]
“I do not believe that dictatorship is a lasting form of scientific society–unless it can become world-wide.” [pg 50]
“A scientific society can be stable given certain conditions:
A single government of the whole world, possessing a monopoly of armed force and therefore able to ‘enforce’ peace. [word emphasis is mine]
A general diffusion of propsperity, so that there is no occasion for envy of one part of the world by another.
A low birthrate everywhere.
A provision for individual initiative both in work and play and the greatest diffusion of power compatible with manintaining the political and economic framework.” [pg 113]
“We must expect vast upheavals and appalling suffering before stability is attained.” [pg. 114]
“Diet, injections and junctions [processes that join things together] will combine from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable and any serious criticism of the powers that be will be psychologically impossible.” [pg 50]
Then Russell muses about how societies’ progress:
“No society can be progressive without a leaven of rebels and modern techniques makes it more and more difficult to be a rebel.” [pg 65]
Some populist intellectual brainiac must have studied this book because the word ‘rebel’ roots back to Latin ‘transgression against God’ so you see it is possible to bring this ‘structure of society’ in by claiming it is ‘God setting forth historical forces’ and adherents using this to create a world religion. Rebel also means to engage in political struggle, so apply that to Russell’s statement above.
“The need for a world government, if the population problem is to be solved in any humane manner is completely evident on Darwinian principles.” [pg. 105]
Bertrand Russell received the Nobel Prize for literature in 1950 for championing humanitarian ideals. His grandfather was Lord John Russell, British Foreign Secretary during the Civil War.

Paulo Freire (1921-1997) was a Professor of the History and Philosopy of Education, at the University of Recife, Brazil.
“Towards the end of his life Paulo Freire–a man of hallmark humility was a man teaching us and the world what it means to be an intellectual who fights against the temptation of becoming a populist intellectual.” [Donaldo Macedo]
In conversation with Donaldo Macedo Freire stated:
“We need to say no to the neoliberal fatalism that we are witnessing at the end of this century, informed by the ethics of the market, an ethics in which a minority makes most profits against the lives of the majority. In other words, those who cannot compete, die. This is a perverse ethics that, in fact, lacks ethics. I insist on saying that I continue to be human…I would then remain the last educator in the world to say no: I do not accept….history as determinism. I did not know this about Bertrand Russell. I knew he was an atheist and a mathematician.
I have been a fan of Noam Chomsky and watched many hours of videos of him speaking and being interviewed. But I have heard two criticisms of Professor Chomsky for which I have no evidence:
1) when asked about US or Israeli involvement in 9/11 he replied – what difference does it make who did it?
2) he will not discuss the “Holocaust” or the possibility that it is an invented psy-op
I heard him say in one interview that he is opposed to national boarders or nationalism. And I saw in one video that Professor Chomsky has/had a large poster of Bertrand Russell on the wall outside his office door – at MIT.
So I ask – what’s wrong with a New World Order (NWO)? Here’s one man’s answer: “Anti-fascists are effective since they sincerely believe what they’re doing is morally right. Their belief in their moral superiority is a powerful motivating force, propelling them to inflict much damage to society (in their quest to tear down the current order). They naively believe global justice will be realized when all nations are eliminated, all races live together, and similar utopian goals are realized. Of course this is the old communist trick they have fallen for. A trick? Yes, because as soon as such broad goals are realized or merely approached, the NWO hammer will come down hard and a “global plantation” run by tyranny will reign supreme (think Bolshevik Russia). At this point anti-fascists will wonder, “where is the utopia we worked for?”

I have been to many lectures by Chomsky, he is brilliant in his way, but he is so tethered to ‘systemic analysis’ that he fails to recognize certain aspects of that system, and seems blind to the whole advent of the New World Order. He seems to regard it as “conspiracy theory”.

I think there is the tendency within academia towards dogmatism, and guarding ones intellectual turf – which means a narrowing of the mind as a shield against criticism beyond ones own boundaries.

What I want to address here is the loose use of language, which begins to tend towards what Orwell termed ‘Newspeak’.
First of all, I would not argue that Miller is not of the Nazi ilk, that he is indeed ‘racist’ in philosophy. My problem is the term “antisemitic”; this term has been through the wash too many times and has not only faded but become shredded. It was from the beginning a term that did not mean what the term “Semite” actually refers to – which is simply a language group. I agree. Sometimes I feel like I’m in Nazi Germany when I try to have these discussions with people. There are still many who believe that the Jews are behind every act of wrongdoing in the world. I think its ridiculous. After watching the events and news coverage unfold in Boston—most notably the bizarre exchange between Gov. Deval Patrick and the reporter from the Alex Jones’ program—I am not even sure these two “junkie-terrorists” are even real.
My take is that the American people are being fed lots of unsettling information on purpose. Consider that moving us in the direction of distrusting our own fellow Americans might be by design.

All of the terrorist hits of the last two decades; Oklahoma City, 911, 7/7 in London. Sandy Hook and now Boston, conveniently had simultaneous drills for the the same scenarios!!! WTF? I live 10 miles from where this happened yesterday. I’ve seen the gruesome pics that are surfacing on the net. What kind of monster could do this to people??? An 8 year old among the dead. I’m really beginning to hate this world. I just wanna move to the mountains and live a happy, hillbilly lifestyle. Been in cities most of my life and can’t stand it anymore!!!.
Why was Mark Potok from the SPLC on ABC this morning talking about the Boston bombing and domestic terrorism?
This is the guy that warned us a few weeks ago about white Christian conservatives and how they were going to be our next terrorism threat.

Yeah. Like that’s not a setup?!?! I know many Christian conservatives that come in all shapes, sizes and colors , including myself. Not only would 100% of them never even consider attacking anyone, 100% would call the police on anyone that even mumbled about committing an act of terrorism! The article refers to Bahai as a global religion “before which all other beliefs and denominations must yield…”. That’s not the way Bahais see themselves and their relations to other religions. What they are saying is not “everyone must become a Bahai” but rather “if you look at the larger picture, all the religions (Bahai included) are part of one common faith.” Like chemistry and physics are part of science. The Chinese economay and the American economy are part of one global economic order.
The article goes on to say, “Will one’s economic wherewithal be contingent upon converting to a new, state-mandated religion/spirituality?” Now you’re just scaring yourself for titillation. If you’re talking about the Bahais, the answer is no, there are no rewards for converting to the Bahai Faith. Sorry.
Then it says “And along these lines, if science and religion are conflated,..” If you’re talking about Bahais, no, science and religion are not conflated. They are two different things. Religion (Bahai included) is only one of them. There are other truths, alongside the truths of religions.
The Bahai Faith is described in the article as “anti-individualistic.” What you been smokin’ man? All of the ethical religions are individualistic, because they claim that one’s individual spiritual well-being is tied to one’s individual moral decisions. Bahai is more individualist than most, because it does not have a one-size-fits-all idea of the ‘ends’ of individuals:

Are you saying that there’s a plot by the powers that be to make the Bahai faith the one and only religion of the US and perhaps the entire world?
If that were the case I would expect a heck of a lot more Americans to know what “Bahai” means and is. As it stands now this religion and its adherents are largely unknown.
If any religion is gaining mainstream exposure and newer American converts almost daily, its Buddhism.
If there was such a plot, the Bahais would have no part of it, so it would fall flat on its face. The Bahai Faith doesn’t seek domination, it celebrates diversity and works with others, in interfaith and grassroots organisations.
I am afraid I am going to need a little more resume from Bahá’u’lláh, in order recognize him as the avatar. Just when I thought moon was the guy!
