Now Comes the Davos ‘Great Reset’

F. William Engdahl
June 9, 2020

For those wondering what will come after the Covid19 pandemic has successfully all but shut down the entire world economy, spreading the worst depression since the 1930s, the leaders of the premier globalization NGO, Davos World Economic Forum, have just unveiled the outlines of what we can expect next. These people have decided to use this crisis as an opportunity.

On June 3 via their website, the Davos World Economic Forum (WEF) unveiled the outlines of their upcoming January 2021 forum. They call it “The Great Reset.” It entails taking advantage of the staggering impact of the coronavirus to advance a very specific agenda. Notably enough, that agenda dovetails perfectly with another specific agenda, namely the 2015 UN Agenda 2030. The irony of the world’s leading big business forum, the one that has advanced the corporate globalization agenda since the 1990s, now embracing what they call sustainable development, is huge. That gives us a hint that this agenda is not quite about what WEF and partners claim.

Italian Catholic Association to Bring Criminal Proceedings Against the World Health Organization

The Remnant Newspaper
(July 16, 2020)

Editor’s Note: Readers will recall the May 7, 2020 “Appeal for the Church and the World to Catholics and All People of Good Will,” which was published here at The Remnant, and signed by eight bishops, three cardinals, many theologians, priests, medical doctors, journalists and Catholic activists.

As editor of The Remnant, I was also one of the original signatories.

The Appeal appeared in The Remnant under the headline: Worse Than Death: A Pandemic Warning from Cardinal Zen, Cardinal Müller and Archbishop Viganò

It’s as three-page document, released in six languages, which demanded that governmental leaders respect people’s inalienable rights and fundamental freedoms in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The State has no right to interfere,” the Appeal noted, “for any reason whatsoever, in the sovereignty of the Church,” and it asked that restrictions on the celebration of public Mass and Sacraments be removed.

Well, that Appeal has now moved on to the next stage.  The organization responsible, Vicit Leo, has posted the following press release on their website www.vicitleo.org, in which they announce their intention to “bring criminal proceedings against the World Health Organization and others whom the Vicit Leo association considers may be open to criminal prosecution.”

It goes without saying that we here at The Remnant support this initiative and ask our readers to work and pray for the success of this important initiative undertaken by our traditional Catholic Italian allies. MJM

MEDIA RELEASE

Increasing numbers of people around the world are becoming more and more concerned about coercive measures being enforced by governments to combat Covid-19. And perhaps even greater concern is expressed about further measures that are proposed by powerful unelected bodies such as the World Health Organization.

In May an international ‘Appeal for the Church and the World’, signed by several Cardinals and Bishops, alongside specialists from the legal, medical and scientific professions, including such luminaries as President John F. Kennedy’s nephew Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was launched by the Italian Vicit Leo association. The appeal, which can be read here, expressed deep concerns about the human rights implications of worldwide lock-down, phone tracking, and proposed enforcement of mask-wearing and mandatory injections. It claimed that “many authoritative voices in the world of science and medicine confirm that the media’s alarmism about Covid-19 appears to be absolutely unjustified.”

Two months later and the sentiments behind that appeal are starting to take on the shape of an internationally-networked human rights campaign that aims to bring criminal proceedings against the World Health Organization and others whom the Vicit Leo association considers may be open to criminal prosecution.

A recently issued campaign letter, which can be read here, informs its readers that “in the coming months Vicit Leo will launch a series of extensive meetings and investigations under the supervision of its Scientific Committee, its Juridical Committee, and its Ethics Committee” and that this “will take place in different countries in Europe, the USA, and around the world.”

The Vicit Leo association is asking for people who share the concerns expressed in the appeal to help them by making it their own campaign, and for those with professional expertise in law, medicine, natural science, journalism and political lobbying to contact them with a view to becoming part of the professional backbone of this international human rights project.

Corporate Media Promote “World Press Freedom Day”

“Read and Watch” Mainstream Peers

Several corporate news media recognized the “World Press Freedom Day” on May 3 with promotional messages in the pages of their respective publications and via social media.

The occasion is in fact sponsored by the United Nations Environmental, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), a vital arm of the UN that has overseen a multitude of social engineering projects since its founding in 1948 by individuals including eugenicist Julian Huxley.

From UNESCO’s site,

In 2018, UNESCO will lead the 25th celebration of World Press Freedom Day. The main event, jointly organized by UNESCO and the Government of the Republic of Ghana, will take place in Accra, Ghana on 2 – 3 May. This year’s global theme is ‘Keeping Power in Check: Media, Justice and The Rule of Law’, and will cover issues of media and the transparency of the political process, the independence and media literacy of the judicial system, and the accountability of state institutions towards the public. The Day will also examine contemporary challenges of ensuring press freedom online. (Emphases retained)

In celebration of UNESCO’s observation the New York Times, which has had a historic information-sharing and censorial relationship with the Central Intelligence Agency instructs its audience on examples of the vaunted Western “free press.”

The fact that such entities are promoting “Press Freedom” is especially noteworthy in the wake of the recent court decision that legally codifies the CIA practice of selectively disclosing select information to journalists and news outlets of its choosing.

The event is also recognized by US Senator Diane Feinstein, who encourages her followers to “fight fake news” by reading quality journalism. In 2013 Feinstein proposed legislation that would effectively define “journalism” as being only something practiced by individuals drawing a salary, thus eliminating a broad array of independent, citizen journalists from the information gathering, sharing, and analyzing equation.

UN admits ‘refugees’ are ‘replacement migration’ for Europe and other low-fertility countries

(April 20, 2018)

For those of us who’ve long suspected there’s a hidden agenda behind the invasion of “refugees” and “migrants” in Europe, here’s the smoking gun.

In 2000, the United Nations’ Department of Economic and Social Affairs issued a report, Replacement Migration: Is It a Solution to Declining and Ageing Populations?, which proposes “replacement migration” for countries with an aging and declining population.

Below is the UN’s press release on the report, dated March 17, 2000 — that’s how long ago the “refugee” and “migrant” plan was hatched.

NEW REPORT ON REPLACEMENT MIGRATION ISSUED BY UN POPULATION DIVISION

NEW YORK, 17 March (DESA) — The Population Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) has released a new report titled “Replacement Migration: Is it a Solution to Declining and Ageing Populations?”. Replacement migration refers to the international migration that a country would need to prevent population decline and population ageing resulting from low fertility and mortality rates.

United Nations projections indicate that between 1995 and 2050, the population of Japan and virtually all countries of Europe will most likely decline. In a number of cases, including Estonia, Bulgaria and Italy, countries would lose between one quarter and one third of their population. Population ageing will be pervasive, bringing the median age of population to historically unprecedented high levels. For instance, in Italy, the median age will rise from 41 years in 2000 to 53 years in 2050. The potential support ratio — i.e., the number of persons of working age (15-64 years) per older person — will often be halved, from 4 or 5 to 2.
