Earlier this week Alex Jones’ Infowars, the popular libertarian alternative news outlet, posted a story on Amazon.com’s censorship of the Jim Fetzer-Mike Palecek-edited volume Nobody Died at Sandy Hook, which was pulled by the behemoth online retailer as well as its subsidiary and the book’s publisher Create Space just a few weeks following the October 22, 2015 publication. Infowars staff publicized their article by “Tweeting” it out under the hashtag #StopAmazonCensorship.
The letter below is from a retired RAF (Royal Air Force) officer who now works and lives in Germany.
H/t Don Hank
GERMANY. CHAOS DESCENDS.
Europe is now in total chaos and I think that you should know about it.
I have waited a week or so to see how things will develop and to glean more information before presenting the facts. As you may know from the media, the flood of refugees cum economic immigrants into Europe has reached ridiculous proportions and to the extent that Hungary and other Balkan states have closed their borders and Turkey is considering doing the same. Angela Merkel in an ill advised speech to the Bundestag, welcomed all refugees to Germany and the floodgates opened and, in my view, this was all pre-planned beginning with the Pope’s appeal last year for Islam to move closer to Christianity. This was then followed up via the Italian Government instructing the Italian Navy to rescue all boat refugees and bring them to Italy.
Numerous “trolls” and “shills” have harnessed the world’s most popular retailer to attack Nobody Died at Sandy Hook, posting an array of“one star” reviews and derogatory remarks on the book’s Amazon page. The collection of essays was released October 22, edited by Prof. Jim Fetzer and author Mike Palecek, and features in-depth contributions from several academics and independent researchers.
A telling aspect of this controversy is that many of the reviewers admit they have not even read the book before submitting their review. There is the strong probability that this is part of a more elaborate organized campaign led by the well-heeled parties that have directly benefited from the false event.
James speaks with Southern California-based political commentator John Friend, a 29-year-old man who was recently terminated from his position in the Escondido City Manager’s office because after being targeted for his online political speech. He has been deemed a “conspiracy theorist,” “white supremacist” and “anti-semite” for challenging conventional historical narratives of 9/11 and World War II.
Friend appears to have entered the sites of anonymous forces who chose to use the press–in this case the San Diego Tribune (here and here)–in a campaign that pressured Friend’s employer to force him into relinquishing his position with the municipality. Tracy experienced a similar scenario when the South Florida Sun-Sentinel ran a smear campaign in early 2013 highlighting Tracy’s analyses of Sandy Hook school massacre press coverage.
This week we feature a pre-recorded interview with Kevin Barrett that originally aired September 15 on Barrett’s Truth Jihad Radio. They discuss recent threats to academic freedom and tenure protections, modern academe’s indifference toward critical analysis of 9/11 and the war on terror, and unusual features of recent “mass shooting” mediated events.
Adding to the intrigue of this specific session are the odd audio difficulties that seemed to intensify as Tracy and Barrett began to address certain subject matter. The technical problems eventually hindered the interview to such a degree that the Skype connection was abandoned in lieu of telephone.
On September 17 MHB reported on a copyright infringement claim filed with Facebook by an anonymous party against the “Sandy Hook Hoax” Fb page alleging ownership of the Lenie Urbina/Avielle Richman photographs. The copyright claimant has been revealed in the emails below as one Thomas Bittman, co-founder of the lucrative “Sandy Hook Promise” charity. The 501(c)3 has been a key proponent of gun control and mental health protocols that it argues will curb mass shootings, while pulling on the heartstrings of America to the tune of tens of millions of dollars in the wake of the December 14, 2012 Sandy Hook massacre event.
What’s significant here is whether Bittman actually holds the copyright to the images in question, and if he’s not just prompting Facebook to abuse the entire DMCA process intended to address legitimate copyright claims. If so, Bittman has likely committed perjury and is subject to being sued for filing a false copyright infringement claim. “If you send a cease-and-desist letter to an infringer,” under DMCA,
