Obama DOJ in $29 Million Charleston Shooting Payout

SC_ShootingOn the late afternoon of Friday June 19 the Obama Justice Department led by new Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced it will “fast track” $29 million to victim families of the June 17 shooting at the Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston South Carolina, Reuters reports. The exorbitant payout amounts to over $3.2 million per family.

As widely reported in corporate news media, a prominent victim of the tragic shooting was career South Carolina political leader and Democratic Party operative Senator Clementa Pinckney. Pinckney was also pastor of the AME Church, and alongside Pickney four of the slain–Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, Depayne Middleton-Doctor, and Daniel Simmons Sr,–were AME reverends and officers.

Wolfgang Halbig’s Attorney Quits Case, Fears for Life

On Wednesday, April 1 Wolfgang Halbig retained a Connecticut-based attorney, Kay Wilson, to represent him in his FOI case for records pertaining to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting of December 14, 2012. On April 3 Wilson informed Halbig that she could no longer represent him, citing a fear for her safety and that of her family, according to Halbig.[See update below.]

“My new attorney just resigned stating that she is concerned for her safety and that of her family,” Halbig wrote in an April 3 email to Linda Fasciano, one of the Connecticut’s Freedom of Information Commission‘s administrative assistants. “All this in just three days. Who talked to her?”

Wolfgang Halbig Spurned by Newtown Officials, Connecticut FOI Commission

Days before Wolfgang Halbig was to appear before Connecticut’s Freedom of Information Commission the former teacher, law enforcement officer, and current national school safety assessment and emergency management consultant was abruptly informed by his Connecticut-based attorney that the hearing would not take place as planned. Halbig nevertheless traveled to Hartford on Tuesday, March 31 to find out why the scheduled meeting that he structured his travel itinerary around was cancelled.

In December 2014 MHB carried news of two lawsuits filed by documentary filmmaker and author William Shanley against major Western news media figures and organizations for their alleged involvement in the December 14, 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. One of the suits demanded $1 trillion in damages from news media and associated parties for their involvement in the Sandy Hook event. Shortly thereafter, on December 30, Plaintiff Shanley appeared to go missing.

Infowars Assailed by ‘Sandy Hook Parent’

Lenny Pozner’s HONR organization has filed a copyright claim against Alex Jones’ Infowars that jeopardizes the alternative news outlet’s YouTube access.

Pozner allegedly lost his son Noah Pozner in the December 14, 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown Connecticut.

Lanza Home Slated for Demolition

The Newtown Legislative Council voted Wednesday, January 21 to demolish the home of Adam Lanza and preserve the location as open space.

The Council’s move comes just sixteen months after a similar decision to demolish Sandy Hook Elementary School and upon strong advocacy by Newtown Selectman Patricia Llorda.
