The Reverend Clementa Pinckney reportedly called himself the “itinerant pastor,” ministering to his flock in Charleston, traveling to his home in Jasper County, and carrying out his duties as South Carolina State Senator in Columbia.[1] Even in death he is itinerant, with his body (or body double) going on display in four venues before his burial on June 26, 2015. No photographs or videotaping were allowed, but the rite was recorded by the mainstream media, immortalizing the corpse and making it available for viewing on a repeat basis.

White Identity and the Limits of Free Speech

Today Sociology and African American Studies Professor Saida Grundy officially joins the faculty at Boston University. As someone attempting to come to terms with my own identity I am delighted to welcome such a courageous colleague to the academy.

In May a controversy erupted when the vivacious incoming assistant professor “Tweeted” remarks construed as racist by some close-minded observers. For example, in January 2015 she wrote,

Every MLK week I commit myself to not spending a dime in white-owned businesses. and every year i find it nearly impossible.

Online commentator RedSilverJ offers his acute analysis of the June 17, 2015 South Carolina Church massacre. He suggests that it may be a manufactured event reminiscent of 1960s Cointelpro tactics and targeting the George Soros-backed “Black Lives Matter” movement with the intent to prompt continued race-based violence across the US.

Acts of Unfreedom: Big Brother “Science” and the Psychology of Control

June 2, 2015 — Obama signs The USA Freedom Act

“Liberty isn’t a thing you are given as a present. He who thinks with his own head is a free man. Liberty is something you have to take for yourself. It’s no use begging it from others.” – Pietro Spina in Bread and Wine by Ignazio Silone

The year made famous by George Orwell in his oracular novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four, has long come and gone. Commentators have had a field day expounding upon Orwell’s hermetic vision of a possible totalitarian world. Big Brother, newspeak, doublethink, now accepted parts of our lexicon, have appropriately been applied to various aspects of political life: the Patriot Act, spying, drones, cameras, media and government propaganda, etc.

James Tracy of Memory Hole Blog is a communications ——— at a university that wishes to remain nameless. Tough luck, guys – it’s ——- ——– University ; – )  The faculty, administrators and students there should be proud that they actually have a professor with the courage to think critically about the USA’s drift toward Orwellian tyranny. And they should be ashamed that he’s pretty much the only one.

Jade Helm: Military Exercise, or Dawn of America’s Hell?

James Perloff and Free Mind Films Producer Chris Emery will be guests on next week’s Real Politik to discuss FMF’s new feature-length documentary ShadowRing, set for release on June 6.-JFT

Internet traffic is buzzing about Jade Helm, a U.S. military exercise scheduled to begin July 15 (but according to latest reports in June) and end on September 15. It is to take place across a number of states, especially in the Southwest, and involves several branches of the military, including the 82nd Airborne, Navy Seals, Green Berets, and other Special Ops.

There is broaJadeHelmd concern that the drill will transition into the onset of martial law. Some factors fueling the alarm: (1) No drill this extensive has ever occurred before; (2) it includes nighttime activities, air drops near towns, and attempts to infiltrate and “blend in” with civilian populations; (3) the exercise is unlawful as it violates the Posse Comitatus Act, which prohibits domestic deployment of federal troops in civilian areas (section 4 of the Constitution allows it in cases of “domestic violence,” but that is clearly not the situation here); (4) the operation’s field map has labeled Texas, Utah, and certain Southern California counties as “hostile” territory – troubling, since these areas also happen to contain populations especially known as constitutionalist, religious, and/or patriotic.
