On January 11, 2013 CNN’s Anderson Cooper sent reporters to my campus office, and later my residence, in an effort to inquire why a professor trained in media studies and criticism would ever publicly question the corporate news media’s reportage of the Sandy Hook massacre event.

Source: CNN.com

A major theme this author hit on in early 2013 was the fact that when it came to events such as Aurora or Sandy Hook, much of the journalism produced by Cooper and his superstar colleagues often left the public more confused than informed. As I have recently written, mainstream news coverage of such events wasn’t traditionally like this.

Some MHB readers will recall how I later gave Mr. Cooper a piece of my mind, imploring him to rise to the occasion and once and for all give the lie to those irksome conspiracy theorists.

“I think you’ll agree that it’s time to put these Sandy Hook ‘truthers’ to rest for good,” I told Anderson in June 2014,  “thereby allowing the Sandy Hook victims’ families to find comfort in the millions of dollars in donations they have received from sincere and goodhearted Americans.

“Anderson,” I continued, “let’s reexamine Sandy Hook together to confirm our own professional integrity, while at the same time striking a potential blow at corruption and deceit. Our conscience requires it. Our nation demands it. Won’t you join me?”

Over eighteen months later I still await Anderson’s response.

The point of my letter, of course, was to call out a celebrity journalist for his profession’s consistent failure to actually report the news, and to instead partake in the sensationalism and mud-slinging that is turning more and more Americans away from the affairs of the day.

The world has been turned upside down when those with the overwhelming power to inform the public partake in subterfuge and simply lazy journalism. As of this writing Cooper is still employed by CNN. As most are aware by now, I was removed from my tenured teaching position on January 8, 2016.

I will be sending my resume to CNN shortly. After all, if Anderson refuses to accurately report the news and CNN wants to continue to take itself seriously someone has to step up to the plate.

Here’s that 2014 letter to Mr. Cooper.

June 15, 2014

Anderson Cooper
C/O CNN
10 Columbus Circle
New York, New York 10019

Dear Mr. Cooper,

Seventeen months have passed since you featured me on your AC 360° program on consecutive evenings to call attention to my commentary and analysis of the December 14, 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, Connecticut. As you may recall, in the prelude to those January 11th and 14th 2013 broadcasts you sent a production crew to my place of employment that proceeded to pursue staff and administrators on my whereabouts.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kt3SUQcawUg

Your staff then repeatedly telephoned my residence, later filming in front of my home and disclosing my address to a national audience without my knowledge or consent. This behavior jeopardized my family’s safety and peace of mind, and included a flurry of threatening and abusive communications directed at me. Further, some observers presumed that CNN and other national news media sought to create sufficient controversy that would lead to the termination of my employment. On the other hand, I understand how you may have perceived this as an act of due journalistic diligence rather than coercion.

Further, if at the time ample proof existed that the Sandy Hook massacre was genuine I think you may have been at least partially justified in such activity. Yet in the time since little evidence has emerged to uphold the notion that the event took place as it had been reported by CNN and other news outlets. In fact, the opinion of many independent experts and a wealth of data point to highly questionable elements of the Sandy Hook narrative that require rigorous interrogation through the intrepid investigative reportage of journalists such as you.

Anderson (if I may), that’s why I challenge you to join me on a reportorial quest to Newtown and Sandy Hook in order to revisit and rigorously question the painful affair that still rests so uneasily on the public conscience—one that is called up in memory with each report of another school shooting. Together let us ferret out and present the relevant information, interview the necessary parties, and get to the bottom of what transpired so that we can put the conspiracy theories to rest!

Anderson (again, if I may), this could very well be a landmark event in investigative journalism. If after a thorough investigation we prove that the event in fact took place as CNN and other major media reported, I will concede that you were in fact correct and seriously consider resigning my post in academe.

At a January 7 “Guns in America” forum (hosted by CNN) President Obama became flummoxed attempting to echo Cooper’s 2013 observations that his administration’s severe executive actions on gun control are a “conspiracy [theory].”

On the other hand, if we find holes in the official narrative this may in fact be a scandal requiring journalistic performance on par with the paragon set by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein over 40 years ago. It will call for—indeed require—the public service of news professionals like you to find out what really happened and bring the culprits to justice! Anderson, at the end of the day it’s just like you say each evening: we truly need to “keep them honest.”

Yet there are some who say that CNN and, I’m sorry to say, even you may have been in on what they call a “hoax.” These suspicious minds say that some of your reportage from Newtown in the wake of the shooting was “greenscreened.” Others point to the time you spent in the Central Intelligence Agency and subsequent involvement in student and activist groups of several foreign countries. Still others bring up CNN’s sometime questionable coverage of major historical events, such as the Persian Gulf and Iraq Wars.

I say “Hooey!” There are many fine young men from extraordinary wealth and privilege yet limited experience or career prospects who serve in our national intelligence services. These include the nation’s 41st president, George H. W. Bush, in addition to littérateurs such as Cord Meyer. In fact, for over fifty years some of our nation’s finest journalists and political leaders have either served overtly with or maintained ties to the intelligence community. Anderson, both you and I know that serving your country is nothing to be ashamed of.

I think you’ll agree that it’s time to put these Sandy Hook “truthers” to rest for good, thereby allowing the Sandy Hook victims’ families to find comfort in the millions of dollars in donations they have received from sincere and goodhearted Americans.

Anderson, let’s reexamine Sandy Hook together to confirm our own professional integrity, while at the same time striking a potential blow at corruption and deceit. Our conscience requires it. Our nation demands it. Won’t you join me?

Yours,

(signed)

67 thought on “Three years later … Why do professional journalists still fail to report the news?”
    1. Hi Alan,

Unfortunately, I believe all the evidence in the world is available now, but most people don’t want to be bothered with even looking at it, even though most of it is photographic evidence now. They are cowards who don’t want to step out of their comfy life and see what is really happening around and still believe firmly in what their government says; or they still believe in the inept divisive bi-partisan government process; i.e. Trump will save us! [example] I can’t shake them from that rhetoric, even though I tell them that electronic voting has been rigged for well over a decade and caused one man’s death, Karl Rove’s IT vote-rigging genius (for Ohio 2004), Michael Connell. [See: The Mysterious Death of Michael Connell”]

The simplest statement I make to my friends and family is:

—->>> If Sandy Hook School Wasn’t Open …
There Was No Massacre at Sandy Hook School <<<—-

However, I can’t even get them to simply look at the evidence available now of the interior and exterior photos, and this is just the basics.

They think I’m “Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs” anyway, I guess.

  1. Typical leftist liberal journo the truth can stare them right in the face if they don’t acknowledge it maybe it will go away. I’ll bet you’ll be waiting another 18 months before you’ll get an answer. Thank you for standing on your principles .

    1. In this day and age, folllowing some study on the birth and implementation of US intelligencies agencies, it should be apparent to all that intelligence really means “what’s in your pockets, your jacket, your mind, your home, job and your future?” The enormous increase in surveillance methods and budgets, the abusive Israeli fomented DHS and other agencies totally 16 at present are there to subjugate Americans and make them easy fodder for totalitarianism.

James, you need a guiding angel to help you over this nasty bump in the road, I wish there was somebody who would guarantee your financial floatage until you can land a job truly worthy of your talents, bravery, and penchant to love your country. You are one inspiring dude and we in the hinterlands will do all we can with the tools we have to help you.

  2. Why do professional journalists still fail to report the news?

Because they’re not allowed to. And if they do, they get fired. And if they really push it, they can end up having an “accident”.

Corporate media has been consolidated into a handful of owners. I think it’s about 5 in the US at the moment. That means that only 300 some odd executives control everything the population sees and hears. They tell us what to believe, what we desire, what we hate. And they’re pretty arrogant about it. The love of truth shifted to the love of money long ago. Much of that came through media programming. Now money is used as a tool to control human behavior. Maybe it always has been.

I saw Al Gore admit this when he was Vice President. He told a reporter that they didn’t really need our taxes. The tax code was just a means to shape behavior.

Used to be values within the public that money couldn’t buy. These values were admired and served as examples to follow. Some people still have this. They stand for truth and can’t be bought.

Cooper is Gloria Vanderbilt’s son. He also, apparently, has ties to intelligence agencies. He’s not going to change his tune.

  3. “I will be sending my resume to CNN shortly.” Ha!

Everyone in the comments sections of publications across this great land lately could not decide if Tracy’s next job would be at FOX or MSNBC, right or left. They could not figure him out.

Wait till they hear about this.

    1. I love it.

      Let’s just join them then.

Let’s bankrupt the country as fast as possible.

I’m going to ask the imposter-in-chief if he will stage one of these fake shootings in my home town.

Hey, how come the black folks in Charleston got a cool $29 million but the fake news shooting actors and the San Bernardino actors did not get $29 mill?

  4. The reason most journalists don’t cover conspiracy facts is quite simple: they know which side their bread is buttered on. It’s fine they choose employment over the truth, I understand we all need to make a living.

Just please don’t spout the hypocritical, self-congratulatory balderdash about the importance of a free press to protect democracy. They’ve chosen their well being over the well being of the republic. Fine. At least have the decency to sit down, shut up and write your propaganda pieces without the pompous self-deceit.

  5. James,

You’ve done a great thing. America is rotten through and through with the exception of people like you. Guy Debord reminded the world in 1967 that “the spectacle” (or which Cooper is part and parcel) “turns reality on its head” [to both paraphrase and translate from French].

Thanks for what you’ve done. If no one stands up, this world is meaningless. Academia at large should be ashamed to not be standing shoulder to shoulder with you at this moment.

    I salute you,

    Paul

  6. I think being a media/ communications professor, and a very good one at that ( I bet you were liked by every student), I would hire a film crew ( of want- to – be producers/journalists) and pack a wagon to Newtown, begin interviewing any and everyone who will talk. Go to Yognanda, Petes Place, Chalk Hill/Sandy Hook ( another phantom school) and do your own reporting, hook up with Oliver Stone or Nathan Folks and produce an indie documentary to raise awareness of this hoax from top to bottom. Time to replace Woodward/Bernstein with Tracy and company

    1. I love this idea Kelley!

      This is bigger than Watergate.

The “journalist” who exposes this fraud once and for all will cause Obama’s & Holder’s house of cards to come crashing down.

I cannot wait for this fraud to be exposed for all the duped citizenry to see.

      1. Are you really, realy sure that the journalist who “exposes” this information about SH will be canonized? Are you sure this person won’t be outed from the ranks of journalists, his family threatened, etc? Have we all not seen where various truths bear no fruit? What happened to nearly 100 people who had inside bits of knowledge about the Mena, Arkansas drug smuggling episodes under Gov. Clinton? I believe they ended up with dirt naps, am I correct?
This SH business has been heavily guarded, the perps have resorted to much, much skulduggery to protect the Mother Lode of information. Is this some sort of accident or is it absolutely true they were obscuring some very, very serious truths?

      2. Don’t hold your breath waiting for the demise of Holder and Obama. The deck is stacked and, according to Carlin, “you aren’t in the hearts and minds of our government”.

    2. All well and good, but has not the Obama administration come out and said that Sandy Hook was a test and not an actual event????? A Mr. Preston had been an interviewee of Jim Fetzer and he came forth with this information.

Is Preston correct in his declaration? If so, why has the juggernaut of misinformation and false collection of money for the poor, poor parents of the, sob, sob, deceased kept going as if it was still a “real” event? We are talking major fraud here, but we need to establish if this event was real or not and the Preston interview is the place to start.

      1. I got the strong feeling that Paul Preston did not want to go beyond that one interview he did with Dr. Fetzer. He said clearly from the beginning that he did not want to reveal the names of the government officials he spoke with. Those facts render Mr. Preston’s testimony quite weak to me.

(As an aside, I wonder if “Paul Preston” is his real name. It probably is but I see now that it is fine for people to adopt pseudonyms and only rarely tell their audience that they use a pseudonym. Sophia Smallstorm, Victor Thorn and George Orwell are pseudonyms.)

Using “pen names” used to be an acceptable practice but in our dystopian world of today it just adds insult to injury.

Is there NOTHING honest, true and real?

        1. in revolutionary times, dachsie, it is common to use pseudo-names, and we live in pre-revolutionary times. It will be increasingly common as repression increases. I never give my cradle name on blogs, or other outlets as well. Just as you don’t. That might slow up the intelligence agencies 20 or 30 seconds before they secure it, time to flee to New Zealand.

        2. I had mentioned to Jim Fetzer that I, too, was a bit shaky about “Preston’s” statement regarding the Obama administration saying that SH was a test. Your observation is noteworthy because unless somebody is willing to make a statement and sign it, it means virtually nothing. If Preston is wary of saying any more, it could mean he has been tapped on the shoulder and told to “cool it”. This also makes me wonder how many people have been silenced and it also makes me wonder how some people have gotten by for so long without palpating their red badges of courage. It’s a mighty dangerous world out there and clearly, there are shills working within the confines of most of the important blogs and MHB is important, very important.

  7. I think we need to substitute the word “Propagandists” for “Journalists”. If nothing they report is “true”, then what else are they? Obviously, CNN serves as a mouthpiece for the Democrats, and Fox News echos the Republicans. If events like 9/11, Sandy Hook and a thousand others are “reported” as fiction, then these “news outlets” are nothing more than propaganda devices. It’s done to brainwash the populace!
And there is an agenda in-play as well. The jewish and Israel lobbies are the force behind these “Masters of Discourse” on Cable TV, make no mistake about it. How is such propaganda countered? Well, this MemoryHoleBlog.com is a great, great example. Keep up the good work.

  8. There are journalists with unquestionable credentials who break rank and defy “media blackouts”. At bottom, the reporting, or lack thereof, on Sandy Hook, is indicative of a cowardly press. The Executive agencies put a topic on a list of “media blackout” subjects, and the media waves their tails and bobs their heads in blind compliance. The official story, usually consisting of a compilation of “anonymous official sources” at the White House, Pentagon, etc., states what happened, on their own ipsie dixit, and, the media becomes a sounding board for the bureaucratic architects of fear.
Some of the excellent independent journalists who have contributed to this, and other blogs, should lend their voice to the issue of how much information goes down the memory hole via fiat of the “media blackout” regime. Some hot topics on media blackout censorship would be gang stalking, chemtrails, the link between mobbing and workplace shootings, and the link between anti-depressants and other prescription drugs and shootings. This is beyond under-reported news, this is a government conspiracy to suppress the press from doing their job through coercion, blocking access to “official sources” and other odious mechanisms of repression.

    1. The nature of the ‘news’ has been suspect since it’s inception.

“… Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knolege with the lies of the day.”

Thomas Jefferson. Letter to John Norvell (1807)

“The methods by which the “Empire of Business” maintains its control over journalism are four: First, ownership of the papers; second, ownership of the owners; third, advertising subsidies; and fourth, direct bribery. By these methods there exists in America a control of news and of current comment more absolute than any monopoly in any other industry.”

Upton Sinclair. ‘The Brass Check’ (1920)

      1. ‘third, advertising subsidies; and fourth, direct bribery”

advertising subsidies play a diminisging role because no one buys or reads newspapers anymore and television is going down the same road,

And direct bribery is more like direct extortion these days.

  9. Oh, they’re reporting “the news”, just NOT the truth. Walter Lippmann’s definition of Objective Journalism didn’t even include the truth; it was all based on a prescribed method of constructing the narrative, adding the micro-stereotype, & various iterations in reportage across other press to reinforce the narrative so the premises are set in stone, while the opinions appear to vary. This IMO seems to be the genesis of Controlled Opposition.

  10. When our very small dairy farm was maliciously abused by Organic Valley (a large retailer of ‘certified organic’ foodstuffs) I used certified mail to contact a substantial number of relatively notable and ‘famous’ spokespersons (in addition to numerous organizations) supposedly representing (speaking and writing and working on behalf) and supposedly interested in rendering ‘legitimate’ aid to small family farmers. One of the most ‘famous’ or noteworthy spokespersons I contacted via certified mail was Mr. Wendell Berry of Port Royal, Kentucky. I did this only after receiving no courtesy or respect from either Organic Valley itself (after many attempts), nor any of the many legal firms and lawyers I contacted. I was aided in these endeavors by a very helpful retired legal secretary that I met, whose name is Judy Palmer and who lives here in Minnesota, as my family also does.

Other than Judy, absolutely no one has offered any help except to tell us, to simply ‘move on’ or ‘try some other career’. It has now been 8 years, since Organic Valley devastated our small farm….

I will never, ever forget professional ‘jobbers’ (writers and journalists) such as Mr. Berry who apparently are more interested in popularity and their own iconic status (as writers and journalists) than in actually helping someone who is poor and devastated.

I curse these individuals on a daily basis, for they are not who they appear or make themselves out to be. Again, I use Wendell Berry as an example, I guess because he is perhaps the most ‘famous’ of the people I contacted, having written (and profited through) many published and widely read works, since the 1970’s. Another would be Gene Logsdon. Yet another would be Wes Jackson. All recipients of certified mail from me, asking specifically for help. None of whom offered any help whatsoever.

    8 years and counting…..

    Ned Lud

      1. I found out what happened to Ned here. Guess he didn’t see the question. It’s in the comments. He had 20 cows that he had to give up because he couldn’t compete, and Organic Valley and others wouldn’t help him. I wonder how big the farms are that they do use. Marzi.

  11. Anderson, on his analysis of James seen here, shows all the characteristics of being a bad crisis actor himself – fake sympathy, giving empty soundbites that have been produced through learned repetition or hypnosis to stick to the implausible SH story. Anderson Cooper is Gloria Vanderbilt’s son. I wonder if he wears her line of jeans? If so, he could have the Vanderbilt name on his rear as a truthful way to identify him.

  12. Reblogged this on Fellowship of the Minds and commented:

The silence from Anderson Cooper and the media to Dr. Tracy’s invitation/plea to reexamine Sandy Hook is deafening. So much for the Fourth Estate, whom America’s Founding Fathers had charged with the constitutional duty of checking and balancing government power.

    1. It’s virtually impossible for a sentient individual to conclude that the media is anything but bought and paid for by various background agencies and organizations. This tradition originates at the beginning of our republic. Twain wrote about it and scores of people after him did likewise. The pieces of the puzzle have been slowly assembled, now they are almost completely fabricated and our goose is nearly cooked.

    1. One great example of this was the cover-up, of video and photographic evidence, of cancer and other health effects on the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A film circa 1946 on the subject was “classified”. Only written accounts were not subject to cover up. This was one of the most extensive media blackouts in U.S. history lasting over half a century.

  13. The ever present and constant challenge to those of us, formidable in numbers but slight in exposure, is to get those within our spheres of influence to examine the material we have digested with regards to any of the recent mass casualty incidents. For example, if one who has been convinced that Sandy Hook occurred just as it had been reported were to sit down and watch H. Wayne Carvers presser on 12-15-12, if they were sincere, would at the very least be forced to conclude that his behavior was completely inconsistent with how a professional would have conducted himself in “answering” questions about the mass murder of 20 children, 6 faculty, and one mother.

Curiosity at this point should be stoked. Perhaps now, they might begin to sample some other areas of contention which would reasonably invoke further suspicions, such as a jovial Robbie Parker meeting the press less than 24 hours after his daughter was torn apart by an AR-15.

If we had a legitimate, honest media, Cassidy Stay would have been hounded by reporters, demanding to know what it was that has brought her so much joy in the wake of her family being wiped out. They might also ask her why she insisted on constantly flashing what could at the very least be misconstrued as a hand signal saluting the devil.

Tragically, all the vast majority of Americans are familiar with in any given reported tragedy, is what has been presented to them by local and national media outlets. People in this country have become familiar with James Tracy and Florida Atlantic University simply because Anderson Cooper introduced them shortly after Sandy Hook.

There is a simple equation at work here; simple because Americans are simpletons. Present news that 20 children and 6 educators (how often Nancy has been omitted) have been mercilessly slaughtered by a lone madman – repeat over and over – show 8×10 photos of the children – show images of Sandy Hook, Ct. – show the 26 angels and crosses – now…NOW…produce a piece in which you present a tenured professor who is questioning the event ever took place.

Again, the challenge is to get them to look past the headlines. I am not however, where some here on MHB are, believing that all this can be turned around, that somewhere down the road we can regain the professionalism and honest investigation which once were the hallmarks of journalism and news reporting. But we as individuals must be constrained by our consciences. We ought to continue to cast suspicion on those events which are deserving, and expose the malignant behavior of the individuals involved, like Anderson Cooper and H. Wayne Carver.

Cooper and his handlers know very well that a joint venture of CNN and Jim Tracy to Newtown could not be totally controlled. They know full well the inherent risks of such a production. Even the slightest leak could potentially yield disastrous consequences. They are not willing to expose themselves to such risk, and if this is not the epitome of cowardice, I don’t what is, especially given the derision absorbed by Tracy as a direct result of CNNs efforts.

Last night we were thwarted in our attempt to broadcast on blog talk radio regarding these issues. I don’t know if it is a technology failure of blog talk, or there are other forces at work. We will attempt again to broadcast tonight. Again, it is a live call in format. Here is the link; http://www.blogtalkradio.com/billp222/2016/01/13/the-official-extermination-of-critical-thought

    1. Listened to the failed broadcast at the link.

If you’re catching flak, it means you’re over the target!

The media has thrown all their eggs into the emotional-appeal basket. Their message is clearly “Don’t think, just feel.” It’s a good approach to use on a lesser-educated public that hasn’t been taught critical thinking skills. But the intentional dumbing down through the public school system is another topic entirely.

I was really alerted to the depth of censorship when JT covered the Amazon ban of Fetzer’s book followed by the internet scrub of all traces of censorship.

      1. Amazon did not ban Fetzer’s book. They ceased their sales of the book. Fetzer made it possible to buy the book from another publisher as well as offering it via PDF for free.
Doubtless that powerful background forces precluded this move by Amazon. I doubt Amazon made the decision by themselves.

      2. Tried to listen but it was a no go, as you well know.

Will just throw out a few suggestions here but admit I know little about Internet live broadcasting.

Suggest you try no more shows with skyped guest.

Just do a monologue of your main points on the subject. Have your cohost, Joe, record the same points and you play that recording on the show.

I noticed I was unable to post a comment to you if I am not signed up with Facebook. That tells me BlogTalk radio is joined at the hip with Facebook and may mean that both of those entities are tied in with BigBrother.

If you cannot get your commentary out on air soon on the subject of Dr. Tracy’s dismissal, consider another host for your radio show.

        MediaBroadcastingCenter is being attacked too.

Or maybe get yourself and Joe on as a guest to a radio show that is perhaps less likely to be hacked by BigBrother.

  14. Why did US power concoct a fantastic story like Sandy Hook? A article about Obama in today’s NY Times partially explains why.

It states that a Gallop poll found that 51% of the American people fear that they or their family will be a victim of Terrorism. This is a form of ideologically insanity, living in an unreal world of power delusion. They are afraid of being killed, and when you foster this kind of fear, people can’t think straight. As fear of Terrorism rises, the polls show that concern about the economy decreases.

When people are afraid, especially afraid of death, they will believe anything, and tend to become more nationalistic and punitive. I have previously quoted the political psychologist Drew Westen that summarized 250 experiments on the fear of death, causing people to become more racist and accepting of more violence.

A woman who wrote a memoir SECURITY MOM is quoted as saying that the country is irrational about Terrorism, but that the government should accept it, and not fight the irrationality. In fact, of course, the government produces it, often with staged homicidal operations. So people want the government to Defend them, often by going to war, or by imprisoning millions of Americans, or shooting Blacks.

Or by taking away the guns that caused Sandy Hook. The assertion that Sandy Hook was actually a staged drill does not fit into the fear- driven Terrorist story. So, in order to legitimate the evidenced truth, it is necessary to tell the people that they are being manipulated by fear by the American power system to serve its own interests. This requires a little time to be effective, in order for all the exploded power delusions to reach a tipping point.

And it must be done while US power continues to stage homicidal operations, and instigates racism to induce fear and hate of Muslims, Blacks, etc.

But it can be done over time, because fear fades and people gradually learn a different story, a reality-based story. It is this story that must be told as part of the defense of James.

  15. Keep a stiff upper lip, as they used to say in merry old England. You are on the right track. Remember how the entire news media skewered Jim Garrison during his investigation and trial of Clay Shaw back in the late 1960’s. Many of those media big shots, such as Hugh Aynesworth and James Phelan were old war horses of the intelligence establishment before their illustrious careers in journalism. History has shown that Garrison was on the right track, despite the atacks launched against him by the “mighty Wurlitzer”.

    1. I’m a Peter Murphy fan and I love this song.
      “Bela Lugosi’s Dead”
I thought you might like it…if you aren’t already well aware of this classic song.

  16. Reblogged this on necltr and commented:

Michael Powell, former FCC Chairman, son of CFR member and on staff of its journal, “Foreign Affairs”, Gen. Colin Powell, allowed takeover of MSM by a limited number of owners. The reason given was that the news would also be available on the internet. Of course, such information comes at a great cost to us, so we go about in a world more densely packed with lies every day.

  17. Why do professional journalists fail to report the news? Because they are professionals.

Bernard Shaw once said in one of his famous prefaces that all professions are a conspiracy against the laity. This includes the truth professions. Economics, as an obvious example, is formulated and restricted from the perspective of the capitalist oligarchy, the economic indexes being what the Nobel economist on the NY Times called “science fiction.” In order to believe the numbers of the Unemployment Index, an obvious fraud, you have to be a highly trained economist. It works the same in journalism as it does in the learned tradition.

A professional journalist is sandwiched between editorial authority that does not want him to tell the evidenced truth, and a pre-indoctrinated audience who does not want to hear it. He and his colleagues create a mainstream truth consensus which excludes those truths that does not fit into the mainstream story. When power systems age, becoming obsolete and dysfunctional, the mainstream consensus deviates increasingly from the reality-based truth. And the American political system is well over two centuries old.

That is why I have insisted throughout my long life on being an unrprofessional. This was also congenial personally because I am not very intelligent. I think real slow. I have been interested in historical conceptual transformations in cultural or people theory, and these are inhibited by professional ideology. It is a White ideology. It is increasingly being challenged as non-Whites are entering the American professions, and will result historically in ideologically and conceptual revolution. After which there will be a change in the way we formulate and legitimate ideological truth.

It is the policy of the University to maintain and encourage full academic freedom.
Academic freedom and responsibility are essential to the full development of a true
    university and apply to
teaching, research and creative activities. An employee engaged
    in such activities shall
be free to cultivate a spirit of
inquiry and scholarly criticism and to
examine ideas in an atmosphere of freedom and confidence.

Academic freedom is accompanied by t
he corresponding responsibility to be forthright
and honest in the pursuit and communication of scientific and scholarly knowledge; to
respect students as individuals and avoid any exploitation of students for private
advantage; and to indicate, when appro
priate, that one is not an institutional
representative unless specifically authorized as such.
Consistent with the exercise of academic responsibility, employees shall have freedom to
present and discuss their own academic subjects, frankly and forthrigh
    tly, without fear of
censorship, and to select instructional materials and determine grades in accordance with
    U
    niversity policies.
Objective and skillful exposition of such subject matter, including the
acknowledgment of a variety of scholarly opinions, i
s the duty of every such employee.
Employees shall also be free to engage in scholarly and creative activity and publish the
results in a manner consistent with their professional obligations.
Academic freedom is accompanied by the corresponding responsibility to:

Be forthright and honest in the pursuit and communication of scientific and
    scholarly knowledge;
Respect students, staff, and colleagues as individuals; treat them in a collegial
manner; and avoid any exploitation of such persons for private ad
    vantage;
Respect the integrity of the evaluation process with regard to students, staff, and
    colleagues, so that it reflects their true merit;
Indicate when appropriate that one is not an institutional representative unless
    specifically authorized as suc
    h; and
Contribute to the orderly and effective functioning of the employee’s academic
unit (program, department, school, and/or college) and/or the
    University.
In addition to their assigned duties, employees have responsibilities arising from the
nature of the educational process. Such responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
observing and upholding the ethical standards of their discipline; participating, as
appropriate, in the shared system of collegial governance, especially at the
department/unit level; respecting the confidential nature of the relationship between
professor and student; adhering to one’s proper role as teacher, researcher, intellectual
mentor, and counselor; and conducting oneself in a collegial manner in all interactions.

    Sounds really legit.

  19. “Why do professional journalists still fail to report the news?”

I don’t even feel like unpacking that question but I will try to get at an answer.

In comments here I saw the word “conscience” and the fact mentioned that ownership of all U.S. media is by five companies, and the mention that jewish and Israel lobbies have an agenda regarding reporting of news.

I came across this article by none other than Mr. Cognitive Infiltration himself, Cass Susnstein. Now this fellow is persona non grata supreme in the alternative media truth seeking audience and he is at the top echelons of those corporate entities that have a monopoly on all media including the Internet and its social networking sites,

Warning: Reading this may cause acute dyspepsia so have some Tums nearby.

    How Facebook Makes Us Dumber

    Cass R. Sunstein, Bloomberg View

“Why does misinformation spread so quickly on the social media? Why doesn’t it get corrected? When the truth is so easy to find, why do people accept falsehoods? A new study focusing on Facebook users provides strong evidence that the explanation is confirmation bias: people’s tendency to seek out information that confirms their beliefs, and to ignore contrary information. ”

    http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2016-01-08/how-facebook-makes-us-dumber?utm_source=pocket&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=pockethits

Now this conscienceless entity sets forth the thesis that people who go on Facebook and other social media easily can fall prey to confirmation bias and end up compromising liberty’s spirit and being dead wrong to boot.

Mr. Sans Conscience teaches us all about…

    misinformation

    truth

    falsehoods

    baseless conspiracy theories

the creation of the virtual equivalent of gated communities

    false information

    biased narratives

    unsubstantiated rumors, mistrust, and paranoia

But not to worry, Cass Sunstein has the treatment.

“The best solution is to promote a culture of humility and openness.”

  20. Eric Holder said”if those conspiracy kooks saw the pictures of the crime scene as I did, they wouldn’t be saying this was hoax”.

I say, you’ve had 3 years to produce photo’s (Photoshopped) of at least the adults that were shot. That would end this tomorrow !

All the crime scene photo’s we saw showed no sign of even a drop of blood.

Was the crime scene cleaned of all the bio material Before the police photo’s? Wouldn’t that contaminate the crime scene if so?
    Or
There is No Photo’s of bodies in the halls and classrooms is my guess.
Release All the Adult Photo’s. We can handle it.

    1. Would photos really end this? Would they? If you were given all the gory photos, would you really just stop with all this?? Or would you just say they were fake?

        1. Indeed. Why, for instance, were the tiny tots left to suffer in agony, in situ, for 15 hours or more, with no emergency medical attention? Why were no parents allowed physical identification of the wee ones’ bodies–only photographs? Wayne Carver, through his nervous laughter, tried to present these bizarre features of the event as if they were normal. Well, maybe in a Steven King novel. Not in the real world.

“Dawn” is either a fake person, or an incredibly stupid real person. We who have followed the story simply laugh at the nonsensical nature of the thing. No one can take it seriously.

        2. For those Official Police Photo’s to be real, they would have had to pick up all the Shell Casings, remember where they were, Clean up all the blood and bodies Then, put the Bullet Casings back in place with Markers Then take the Photo’s.

          That would be first?????

        3. Haha..And Nothing to get Hung About……

(to the tune of Strawberry Feilds)

Living is easy with a Millions Dollars
All I have do is Lie
It’s hard to keep shutting down everyone on YouTube
But the TPTB says thats my job
          Sandy Hook Forever…..

        4. We must give credit when it;s due.

To pick up 145 shell casings and remember where they were to mark later for the Photo’s would be hard….

Someone in the Newtown Police force has a good memory../sarc

        5. It’s also evidence of a “red herring”, like the missing 28 pages of the 9/11 (cover-up) commission report allegedly implicating SAUDI ARABIA. Its there just to reinforce belief in the official conspiracy theory mythology. Like ” oh, if you saw the pics that ‘I’ saw that you’ll never ever see that ‘I’ don’t intend for you to ever see, then you would see”; circular reasoning nonsense they’re peddling. Disinfo, misdirection, limited hangouts, the usual PSYOP trip.

      1. Dawn,

        There are NO Photos.

We could tell if they were Real or not. If they were Real, I’d agree.
But while they are being honest. Can we also have the Camera footage from OKC, 911 and all the School and Mall shootings?

        Yea, I thought so……………

  21. Dr. Tracy WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP???

Some way we let you know in comments that we are sending so we can be sure it gets to you.
Wishing you and your family the best.

  22. The actors perform the role they are hired to do. There are glimpses of the media trying to appear as investigators of the long lost art, the Patriot radio channel is quite entertaining!

Megyn Kelly is the current superstar who is fearless in slapping down those who ask for it and is currently all over the Bengasi conspiracy.

Megyn had the exclusive first interview of creepy Gene Rosen who sheltered witnesses to the murders who also happened to be children in his house.

As a parent of young children, why was she not concerned a bus driver plopped these terrorized six year olds out on the street after driving past first responders and the fire house where they were supposed to shelter in?

Why is she not curious why DHS has a sign that clearly flashes everyone must sign in?

Force myself to listen to the gov run npr when driving to town. Was shocked to hear our leader declare the media is responsible for our fear. Every time you turn on the news there is another shooting in a school, theater or whatever, and that is all they cover until the next shooting. Enough is enough already…

That is my memory of the radio transmission, it obviously cannot be part of the official record, what he continued with is. He is not looking good at all in his latest videos.

  23. Answer to Anderson Cooper’s question in your first paragraph: because you are an honest man who has neither been sufficiently bribed nor blackmailed, nor has your brain been sufficiently marinated in chemicals from food, drink, and respiration gasses to accept the falsehoods most of the Cooper audience accepts. Cooper, put that on your green screen, and let us see your story.

  24. I feel bad for professor Tracy to be ridiculed and lose his job. However he had to know how it would play out. Furthermore, if he was a professor of media studies, that’s not much of a job. There is no media anymore. The fourth estate is dead.

i wonder at what point in their career these days that journalists come to the realization that they are playing the role of the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. I remember being shocked when I read the line in Stephanopoulos’ book in the 90’s where he said: “politics is not about doing what is right, politics is doing what works”. In other words, somewhere along the way, the truth took a back seat to whatever gets them what they want. Fast forward to 2016, and the facade of truth can be manipulated at will.

Cooper isn’t in the business of telling the truth. He is in the business of playing “TV News man”; looking good and smart and telling what the people signing the checks that pay the network want him to say. Notice I didn’t even say advertisers – because I suspect one of the big check writers is the government, who does not advertise at all. His check-writers tell him to sell Sandy Hook, he sells Sandy Hook, simple as that. And the story has plenty of plausibility if you don’t dig too deep, so he doesn’t, and will never. Deep down in his gut he has this tiny inkling that he is a total fraud, but that’s easy to repress when you look at the bank account and the glowing adulation he receives daily. BTW – every network anchor since November 1963 has had the same feeling of fraud, but they’ve lived well in spite of it. John Wayne wasn’t a real cowboy either, but he made a lot of money playing one.

You cannot fight a person who has no morals in a moral way. They will always win because they have no problem going where you will not. Professor Tracy and others are being trained in true way of the world – you either comply or we take your reputation and livelihood. Next step they will throw you in jail on some kind of charges – next step – well we know what the step after that is. That one is reserved for the true patriots who laugh in the face of reputational annihilation. It doesn’t matter if it’s moral, or just – they are doing what works, and they will keep doing it until it no longer works.
