One Russian plane may even indeed have slightly crossed the border while maneuvering. But the real reason why the U.S. military official and Turkey claim the above “violations” is because Turkey unilaterally “moved” the Turkish-Syrian border five miles south:

Turkey has maintained a buffer zone five miles inside Syria since June 2012, when a Syrian air defense missile shot down a Turkish fighter plane that had strayed into Syrian airspace. Under revised rules of engagement put in effect then, the Turkish air force would evaluate any target coming within five miles of the Turkish border as an enemy and act accordingly.

If Syrian rules of engagement would “move” its northern border up to the Black Sea would any plane in eastern Turkey be in violation of Syrian air space? No one would accept such nonsense and that is why no one should accept the U.S.-Turkish bullshit here. Russian planes should not respect the “new” Turkish defined border but only the legitimate one…

Russia “Violated” Turkish Airspace Because Turkey “Moved” Its Border

Russian planes in Syria “violated Turkish air space” the news agency currently tell us. But an earlier report shows that this claim may well be wrong and that the U.S. pushes Turkey to release such propaganda.

Reuters (Mon Oct 5, 2015 7:54am BST): Turkey says Russian warplane violated its airspace

A Russian warplane violated Turkish airspace near the Syrian border on Saturday, prompting the Air Force to scramble two F-16 jets to intercept it, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

The Foreign Ministry summoned Moscow’s ambassador to protest the violation, according to an e-mailed statement. Turkey urged Russia to avoid repeating such a violation, or it would be held “responsible for any undesired incident that may occur.”

AFP (10:20am · 5 Oct 2015): Turkey ‘intercepts’ Russian jet violating its air space

Turkey said on Monday its F-16 jets had at the weekend intercepted a Russian fighter plane which violated Turkish air space near the Syrian border, forcing the aircraft to turn back.

Turkey said on Monday its F-16 jets had at the weekend intercepted a Russian fighter plane which violated Turkish air space near the Syrian border, forcing the aircraft to turn back.

Here now what McClatchy reported on these air space violations in a longer piece several hours before Reuters and AFP reported the Turkish claim:

ISTANBUL – A Russian warplane on a bombing run in Syria flew within five miles of the Turkish border and may have crossed into Turkey’s air space, Turkish and U.S. officials said Sunday.

A Turkish security official said Turkish radar locked onto the Russian aircraft as it was bombing early Friday in al Yamdiyyah, a Syrian village directly on the Turkish border. He said Turkish fighter jets would have attacked had it crossed into Turkish airspace.

But a U.S. military official suggested the incident had come close to sparking an armed confrontation. Reading from a report, he said the Russian aircraft had violated Turkish air space by five miles and that Turkish jets had scrambled, but that the Russian aircraft had returned to Syrian airspace before they could respond.

The Turkish security official said he could not confirm that account.
So it is the U.S., not Turkey, which was first pushing the claims of air space violation and of scrambling fighters. The Turkish source would not confirm that.

But how could it be a real air space violation when Russian planes “flew within five miles of the Turkish border and may have crossed into Turkey’s air space”. The Russian planes were flying in Syrian airspace. They “may have crossed” is like saying that the earth “may be flat”. Well maybe it is, right?

Fact is the Russians fly ery near to the border and bomb position of some anti-Syrian fighters Turkey supports. They have good reasons to do so:

The town, in a mountainous region of northern Latakia province, has been a prime route for smuggling people and goods between Turkey and Syria and reportedly has functioned as a key entry for weapons shipped to Syrian rebels by the U.S.-led Friends of Syria group of Western and Middle Eastern countries.

One Russian plane may even indeed have slightly crossed the border while maneuvering. But the real reason why the U.S. military official and Turkey claim the above “violations” is because Turkey unilaterally “moved” the Turkish-Syrian border five miles south:

No one would accept such nonsense and that is why no one should accept the U.S.-Turkish bullshit here. Russian planes should not respect the “new” Turkish defined border but only the legitimate one.

It would also be no good reason to start a NATO-Russia war just because such a plane might at times slightly intrude on the Turkish side due to an emergency or other accidental circumstances. Do we have to mention that the U.S., France, Britain and Jordan regularly violate Syrian airspace for their pretended ISIS bombing? That Turkey is bombing the PKK in north Iraq without the permission of the Iraqi government? What about Israels regular air space violations over Lebanon?

But what is this all really about? Germany, the Netherlands and the U.S. stationed some Patriot air defense systems in Turkey to defend Turkey and its Islamist storm troops in north-Syria. These systems were announced to leave or have already left. Are these claims about air-space violation now an attempt to get these systems back into Turkey? For what real purpose?

  1. Turkey violated the conditions for its membership in NATO and committed an act of war. Exactly what they wanted. As usual, America is on the wrong side. We should be supporting Russia against Turkey. If anyone wants to know why, just ask. HAPPY THANKSGIVING, AMERICANS!

    1. There is absolutely no way that Turkey would do this without the go ahead from BO. In fact, talk is that they “leaked” the flight paths that Russia provided to Turkey so that they could target and intercept the plane.

Putin is no fool. He knows this. He was asked by the legitimate government of Syria to help. He is doing that. He knows that there is no such thing as a “moderate terrorist”, and he is helping to keep Assad in power, something the owners don’t want.

Anyone wishing to put an end to these groups operating illegally in Syria would want to shut off their supply routes. Those run through Turkey. There are enormous interests for the masters of chaos to keep things as they are.

Any politics follower (as I am not), would do well to ask; “where’s the UN on this?”. By what authority are these groups operating? Well, of course they are “terrorists” so they don’t need authority. That’s the whole game behind the proxy army.

Anyone who’s been following this might ask how on earth they got that many facilities there? We’ve seen the pictures of US helicopters flying security for their convoys. It is truly disgusting.

      1. Likewise, there is no way BO does what he does without the say-so of his Zio handlers. Listening to the man answer questions extemporaneously brings out the real man, the man who is lost without this Teleprompters. Were he to tell the truth just once, we’d all be shellshocked. When you think Obama, think vile.

        1. The billionaire oligarchs that rule the US are only partially Zionist, Gil. They are mostly Anglo. The leading banker at the beginning of the century was J. P. Morgan according to Carroll Quigley, and in the last half was Rockefeller.

      2. absolutely, Lophatt. And I think that Putin possibly said that there was a bomb that exploded the passenger plane even if it was an technical override of some kind that you suggested in one of your posts. And a poster on Voltaire, net agrees with you, and it seems plausible to me.

Obama has gotten so trigger happy that it seems that he is getting out of control, or at least someone is. In foreign policy he is WORSE than Bush jnr. He actually managed to unite China and Russia against US policy, and solidify the unity. That’s even crazier than the sequence of invasions that Bush planned and Obama is carrying out.

  2. The two best blogs for accurate info and penetrating analysis on the Syrian and Ukraine wars are Moon of Alabama, the one presented here, and the Saker, run by an ex-military analyst. They are international, the Saker in particular reporting in many languages.

Washington appears to be going off the deep end with military provocations. The shooting down of a Russian warplane by Turkey could not have been done without at least the consent of Washington, and perhaps the instigation. At the other end of Eurasia, Washington is running its ships through China shore space, within the 12 mile zone. These are both war provocations, and depend for a non-war outcome on Russia and China, both with large armies and advanced nuclear weapons.

Obama does not appear to be in full command of the military, the oligarchy, including the Zionist sub-wing, controlling large aspects of the CIA and the Joint Heads of the militaries. US-American does not have a military tradition, but the American people have been taught to think of war as a kind of sports contest, and to want to engage in it as being Tough, Masculine, and Courageous.

This is a form of ideological insanity. The American people have been conditioned to internalize a kind of lynch mentality, currently exhibited in the police murders of African Americans, and to respect ChickenHawks, who cluck for war as long as somebody else fights it. American power is going to decay for decades, which is very rapid by historical standards, but American reaction is increasing during this time, without effective opposition.

It is not generally realized how dangerous this is in a world with hydrogen bombs. And other blogs often will not print my comments saying so. Nuclear war is a real possibility, but the American people, perhaps in common with many of the earth’s people, have no idea what this means.

Today is Thanksgiving and we will have our customary dinner with guests from the other parts of the west coast. But somehow I don’t feel very thankful.

    1. It is always a temptation to get enmeshed in the politics of these things. It is totally unrealistic. Those of us who have looked hard at this over the years fully realize that these parasites are just front men for the owners.

These divisions are imaginary and designed to distract. The evil they do is very real, however. You are quite correct to say that Erdogan would never do this without the blessing of his boss. He works for the same boss that BO does.

BO doesn’t have a “foreign policy”. When they snatched him up off the beaches of Hawaii and bankrolled his “rise” to frontman, he was installed, just like those before him. As we can see from the silly season there isn’t any hope of anything better in the near future either.

Knowing a psychopath is to be in competition. There is no way to deal with them without having to defend yourself. That is the position that Putin finds himself in. He either allows them to destroy him and his country, or he resists.

It is not reassuring to know that they would not hesitate to nuke us all. I’m not talking about Putin here, either. They want absolute control and they’ll kill us all to get it.

This is a very dangerous game. They are, of course, insane.

  3. I can see Obama’s wheels turning after reading this.

Gee, if I move the US borders to include all of South America, including Cuba wouldn’t that make all of “then” US Citizens and Not Illegal Aliens?

Turkey did it right? Duh Why can’t I ?

    I’m O’dumbo !!

  4. This is dangerous. But Russia is enmeshed in this system so much I wonder how much of a counterweight they are really? I know their history and they were never crazed like here. It isn’t good and if they keep doing it god only knows.. Turkey is a proxy state of the US so it translates into the US doing this.

    1. what do you mean, Stephanie, Russia doesn’t seem crazed to me. (just asking.) Russia is protecting a client-state attacked unjustly by Western imperialism and Muslim reaction. By insisting that Assaud be deprived of power while he controls the government and military, Washington prevents a diplomatic solution to the horrendous slaughter.

So Russia, by defending the regime in Syria, is making the Western insistence so farfetched that they will soften it as a preliminary to abandoning it. what is crazed about that?

  5. The American people have been systematically deranged by American power historically to make us easier to rule. A major element of this ideological derangement is keeping Americans historically illiterate from viewing reality from a people’s perspective. Consequently Americans tend to forget the past, deny the present, and ignore the future.

Therefore it is difficult to understand Obama’s trigger happiness from an historical perspective. The American oligarchy of billionaires are mostly Repubs according to the sociologist William Domhoff ( who was on prof Silver’s of Project Censored ph.d committee.) The oligarchs therefore use the Dem party to accomplish militarist and repressive feats that would be more difficult with a Repub party known for sucking up to money and power. Consequently, the function of the Dems is to go to war for the oligarchs.

EVERY RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT IN THE 20TH CENTURY HAS LED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO WAR.

Wilson in 1916 entered world 1 after running an Election campaign featuring the slogan: ” he kept us out of war.”

Roosevelt, after the 1940 re-election, led us into world war 2.

Truman entered the Korean war after being re-elected in 1948.

Johnson, as soon as he was reelected after the Kennedy murder in 1964 led us into the Vietnam war.

Bill Clinton, after being re-elected in 1996, initiated the Yugoslavia war.

So Obama, in initiating the provocations that lead to war, is merely doing what comes naturally historically. He is continuing Bush jnr’s wars with Muslims and initiating provocations with Russia and China.

That is what is so dangerous about the ideology of Freedom&Democracy. It is an ideology that deludes the American people to prevent them from seeing the political reality of American power. It has clouded our minds, weakened our hearts, and perverted our souls.

        1. Oh. It was an interesting point, though, about the presidents. I didn’t know that; I would’ve thought more Republican presidents would embroil us in war, but I guess that’s really the Neo-Cons.

          They’re all disgusting.

        2. The thing is, Recynd, that Dems don’t know it either. The Repub leaders make delusive piggish comments and the Dems respond with a sheeplike evasive partial hangout that covers up the significant truth. The American public discourse goes, by the Repubs:

                           OINK, OINK, OINK.

          and the Dems respond:

                              BLEAT, BLEAT.

And the people’s truth is lost in the animal political sounds of the public discourse.
