(Two years ago today the Boston Marathon bombing event occurred. Major media still maintain that at least 260 individuals suffered injuries as a result of the incident, most recently as the implied rationale behind the curious prosecution and conviction of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev for the crime. This article originally appeared on May 11, 2013. Additional research and analysis of the Boston bombing is available here.-JFT)
Exactly how many people were injured as a result of the April 15 Boston Marathon Bombing (BMB)? An official tally from the Boston Public Health Commission puts the number at an incredible 282 injured and four killed, including MIT police officer Sean Collier. “Only two patients wounded in the Boston Marathon bombings remained in critical condition” on April 22, the Boston Globe reported, “but the count of injured people who were treated in area hospitals has risen sharply to 282, according to the Boston Public Health Commission. That is far higher than the initial estimate of 170.”
On this week’s edition of Real Politik James speaks with Wolfgang Halbig, a former Florida State Trooper and school safety consultant. The two discuss Halbig’s continuing investigation of the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre event.
Mr. Halbig has probed the Newtown shooting for over two years. During this time he has been repeatedly stonewalled by Newtown and Connecticut state authorities in FOI requests for documentation proving the event in fact took place as it has been reported in mainstream press accounts.
In this address given on the California Capitol steps in Sacramento Robert Kennedy Jr. provides an inspired and detailed analysis of the extent to which the powerful pharmaceutical cartel has effectively captured the nation’s scientific, regulatory, and law-making processes. Combined with the corporate news media’s dependence on drug advertising, this has put big pharma in a position where it is running roughshod over informed choice and dictating vaccine policies that have little-if-any basis in scientific research yet will greatly contribute to that industry’s already gargantuan profits.
A recent BBC documentary airing in March 2015, Surviving Sandy Hook, calls to mind the series of made-for-TV films produced by British news media memorializing Dunblane. Indeed, the March 13, 1996 massacre of 16 five-to-six-year-old school children and their teacher in Dunblane Scotland by a single recluse bears a number of similar characteristics to the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, yet Sandy Hook is seldom considered in the context of this important precursor.
The foremost of such similarities is the fact that Dunblane was the key pretext for the introduction of draconian gun laws and school safety measures throughout the United Kingdom–a move ostensibly pursued to placate grieving parents, some of whom advocated for such. By late 1997, all cartridge-loading handguns had been banned throughout the UK following separate legislation passed under the Conservative and Labour governments of John Major and Tony Blair.
As a concerned citizen with friends and family near Newtown, CT, I telephoned Governor Malloy’s office today expressing my concerns that Mr. Halbig has apparently been mistreated and “stonewalled,” and that it would really be in the state’s best interest (and that of interested persons everywhere) to see that Mr. Halbig’s “questions” are addressed directly, swiftly, and thoroughly “if” indeed there is nothing to hide; since further delays or apparent obfuscation will play into the hands of those spinning half-truths and/or un-truths about the “facts” surrounding the alleged SHES tragedy of 14 December, 2012.
By James F. Tracy On Wednesday, April 1 Wolfgang Halbig retained a Connecticut-based attorney, Kay Wilson, to represent him in his FOI case for records pertaining to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting of December 14, 2012. On April 3 Wilson informed Halbig that she could no longer represent him, citing a fear for her safety and that of her family, according to Halbig.[See update below.]
“My new attorney just resigned stating that she is concerned for her safety and that of her family,” Halbig wrote in an April 3 email to Linda Fasciano, one of the Connecticut’s Freedom of Information Commission‘s administrative assistants. “All this in just three days. Who talked to her?”
